Why does my battery light come on when i turn the wheel too far right: do i ned a new one?
Ok so the car is a 1999 cadillac Seville and the battery light turns on when i turn the wheel as far as it goes to the left. i tested the battery at Pep Boys and they said it was bad, Auto-zone said it was still good, so IDK. I think its bad because when i was driving with the heated seats, radio, whippers and heater on, the car shut off on me.

Sounds to me that the cell in the battery is going bad. If you just had the car running and they check the battery, the battery could still be charged. If the battery has a bad cell it will drain fast but not RIGHT after you got done driving it.

Your battery is not the problem even though it may be bad. Your problem is when you turn the steering wheel and the battery light comes on. I would suspect there is a wiring problem. You need to fix this problem first, and then get a new battery if needed. Of course you can get a new battery and see if you have the same problem. While you’re at it, it is always good to check your alternator and make sure that it is good.

your alternator may be bad, which would keep your battery from charging. if your car was running when you turn on the radio or somethin it should take power form the alternator so it might be bad. get it checked
