I don’t know how large a city you are near, but I
would look for a seat cover center, or a top (as
in car /convertible tops) company for what you
want. Some, but not very many, furniture
upholstery places are able to make seat covers
for vehicles. The problem with most of these
companies is that they either don’t have the
experience, or the right kind of material for
automobile seat covers. Furniture covers is
not designed for the wear-and-tear given to
auto seats, nor is the type of support for the
material the same. You don’t want to get a
material that ‘looks the same’ as what you
want, but you want the material that looks
like, but is designed for what you want.

You might start looking in the phone books
for automotive seat cover centers. If you
intend for the covers to last a while, look
like they actually are designed for your seats,
and hold up well, you will pay a little more
for them than the aftermarket add-ons, but
you will get ones that are fitted, and installed
just for your vehicle. The ‘do it yourself’
aftermarket ones are not a good investment.
