Where is the 1997 Mitsubishi eclipse air conditioning drain plug ?
I have a wet passenger floor (both front and back seats) in my 97 mitsubishi eclipse rs hard top. It only happens whenever the a/c light is on (defogger/defogger & foot setting). I heard it’s either a hole in my heater core or the air conditioning drain hose is clogged. I don’t believe its heater core because the heat works fine and there is no smell of coolant in the car, and when I dab the carpet dry there is no color to it. The blower fan does make a weird kind of rubbing noise whenever the heat is on but I don’t think its related. Does anyone know where the a/c drain hose is on this car as I want to try unclogging it with a wire or hose. I thought it was under the car but couldn’t find anything. Thank you
"drain hose" not drain plug, sorry

The drain hose for the air conditioning evaporator is located on the passenger side firewall up a ways behind the axle. Jack the car up and hunt for it. You will need compressed air to blow into the elbow drain hose. The rubbing noise is probably leaves stuck in the blower motor fan squirrel cage. Drop the fan motor assembly on the passenger side under the dash.

If you jack up the car there should be a drain hose coming out of the body by the pass. side floor board. There’s no drain plug just a drain hose.
