What would cause the interior windows to fog and freeze in my Jeep Gr. Cherokee?
Had the heater worked on a couple years ago and when the weather is cold (which it hasn’t been the last 2 winters but is this year) the fan blows and smells musty and the windows fog and then freeze. The only places that are clear is in front of the 2 front seats on the windshield.

Check the selector position to be sure that it is not recirculating the inside air.

Maybe your cabin air filter is clogged. it is possible that there is a leak from your heater core but you would smell the anti-freeze.
As a temporary solution crank up the heat and open one rear window slightly. Make sure you are not recirculating air either. turning the defroster or the AC can help also.

try wiping it with paper towel. if it comes off easy, then it is just condensation. your a/c should clear it. if it smudges and is greasy, then your heater core is spewing out anti-freeze.
