What kind of car seat covers can i buy for a Hyundai Elantra?
The model of the Elantra I’m interested in getting (07-10) has side seat airbags but im also wanting to put covers on the seats. What kind of special seats would i need to find for this model of car? Would they be considered "universal" car seat covers? im looking for cute covers and not the dull, boring black or neutral color covers. would it be possible to find these kinds of seat covers out there?

We make Seat Covers for all Cars Trucks and SUV’s including your Elantra. Universal fit covers won’t work due to the seat side airbags. You will need to go with a Custom fit, which is made for your specific seats. Our custom covers will accomodate your seats airbags. Not only do we offer regular looking covers, but we also offer some wild stuff too. Check out our site.

Covercraft makes a really stylish line of SeatGloves seat covers, but I don’t believe these are for use with yours due to the airbags.

yes, it is a concern of many. i have the seats of my ’08 Elantra fully covered, but i weakened the seams of the seat covers so if the airbags ever deploy, they will bust right through. at least i hope thats what will happen. and some are starting to make "breakaway" covers. otherwise it is possible full airbag deployment could be hindered during a side impact collision
seat covers for the Elantra are tough fits, because no one makes covers for the car. even Hyundai. i managed to find some universal fit ones which fit ok, but cover the headrest. i also found these recently, but at $175 a piece, am giving it careful thought. however since you haven’t bought the car yet, maybe you can figure these into the budget? they seem very nice and are made to fit

so options and alternatives are out there, but you may have to look around a bit
