What is the Best Car for my needs?
Hey everyone: What would be the best pick-up for driving through snow up north, hauling stuff around in the summer and for luxury. This is for my first car and I am down to buying a Ford F-150, Toyota Tundra (If I HAVE to), a Dodge Ran 1500 and a Chevy Silverado. I will customize the pick-up lightly (Running boards, nicer rims, front cover thingy and extra foglights. I will probably buy the 2009 model in 2012 (off lease?). I hope to have saved a nice chunk of money by then and I want to have a nicer car (leather, sun roof). I will settle for a nicer sedan (Used Passat) or a user Jeep Wranger, the prefered car by kids in my town. What do you think would be best for me and why? -Thanks!
PS: I would like a car with soft suspension, which of these trucks has the softest? I don’t want a truck with a front bench seat: I need a center armrest for many reasons and I don’t like the bench seat style. I will consider standard for a pick-up. If you recently bought your own first car and your in high school: what did you buy?

Well I’ve always preferred chevy’s. I grew up in them. So I’d get the chevy silverado. I’m in high school and I bought a 2000 Camaro last year.

the chevrolet has a good following for aftermarket pieces at least more than the toyota…. the early 2000s chevys had a bench or armrest middle which was great if you had your girl with you she can sit next to you or if your buddy was with you put the armrest down and you drinks and other stuff goes in the middle… i dont think the domestic trucks offer sunroof but some imports do like the tundra which is good… also you can update the interior of your truck with cadillac or denali stuff from other lines to make it more luxurious something you cant do with toyota… i would go with a chevy 4×4 extra cab … but if you got the money get the denali truck which comes with 6.0l motor awd and all the extras see link

most trucks are nice now days. I will tell you this, a 2007 toyota tundra model drives like a car, very soft and quiet. it has a excellent 4 wheel drive system, high towing capacity, good safety systems and of coarse, its a toyota, great resale value, great dependability. Tundra 5.7 gets to 60 mph in about 6 seconds. STOCK. Example, a ford f-150 with a 10,000 pound load and a tundra, the tundra will get to 60 3 times faster than the ford, its not the power, its the gear ratios, 6 speed automatic and torque. Look at GM and chrysler, they are going bankrupt for a reason, they cant build cars anymore. Decide for yourself.
For a sedan. The best car for the money is probably a infiniti G35, great power, a little bigger than a bmw 5 series, good gas mileage and a very nice ride……
