i have a 2001 volvo v70 xc and the battery finally went dead this weekend. i went and got a battery and changed it out just like i have done on several other cars. this time, something blew and i have no idea of what it could be. everything works on the car except for the the climate control system representing the fan, a/c, and seat heaters. none of the lights even come on. so if anyone has any advice on what that could be, please let me know! thanks!
When this happens, my rpm’s will bounce around. The tach will click back on and every things fine. Also, I noticed if my seat heaters are on, when the tach clicks to off, I lose power to the switches and they turn off. Has anybody ever had this problem. If so, what is causing it?
I do have electric seats, i was just wondering if they were interchangeable, and if so, maybe i could upgrade my 3 sereis seats to a 5 with seat heaters?
my friend informed me that seat heaters, heaters, AC and the radio all do not use gas. Is this true?
I recently bought a 2006 Highlander with the seat heater option. The seats get warm, but do not get as warm as in my wife’s 2005 Camry which also has seat heaters. Neither does it get nearly as warm as a dodge I am familiar with. Just wondering if mine is typical all 06 Highlanders, or is it faulty.
It appeared to stop after i had a car full with all 4 seat heaters on. Driver,s door locks and unlocks with key but none of the others. Have tried pressing lock button on fob with ignition on as someone suggested to reprogramme but to no avail. Any expert advice would be gratefully received. Cheers
On my moms Buick, the drivers seat heater not working. I pulled the fake wood trim panel and swapped the switches, the drivers switch will make the right seat work, and the passengers side won’t make the drivers work, so I am concluding it’s not the switch. The "LO" and "HI" lights don’t come on at all, like the system is totally dead. I check any fuses I could find that seem to be for the seat heaters, including a few in the fusebox under the rear seat. Anyone come across this before??
I have a ’03 Acura MDX, with seat heaters on both the driver and front pass seats. In the past year the driver’s side seat heater has developed a "hot spot". There is just one certain spot that becomes hotter than the rest, in either the low or high setting, and it literally burns my leg. I took it to the dealership, the vehicle is under warranty, and they are telling me they cannot detect a variance with their "infared heat sensors" and they will have to take the seat completely apart, and if they still cannot find anything wrong with it, I will have to pay the labor!!! I am not imagining this. When I checked my vehicle into service this morning I told the person who was checking me in, not the same guy who was in charge of my vehicle…they couldnt find him, about this "hot spot" and he told me this does occur when the heater is about to go out. This needs to be fixed under warranty, and I need to be armed with as much info as possible. Suggestions or shared experience will help!
Front driver and passenger seat heaters don’t work, as well as power adjustable driver’s seat. Power adjust for passenger still works. I suspect it’s a blown fuse, but can’t seem to locate the culprit. Anyone know what it is? I hate to pay for a dealer diagnosis if it’s just a fuse!
