It has 80k miles and is green with tan interior. Thats all i know but its becoming my car tomorrow. I hate rolling in something so blah. Does this car have alot of potential or aftermarket parts, as a automatic version? i know. Auto. ugh. Can I put in aftermarket seat heaters? Is the engine capable of taking more power or anything? Aka turbo/super C? It makes like 68bhp and 160hp according to the only google page that loaded. So, on a budget, (ricer ideas are a no no, lol) can i make it fun?

It has all kinds of features including a sunroof, leather interior, cassette player, cd player, radio, seat heaters, etc. It is in excellent condition and the owner gets it detailed annually as well as regular oil changes.

The only thing that bothers me is the high mileage and that it gets about 15-16 mpg city. I will only be driving it in town so I have no idea. Is this a good idea to buy this vehicle? How long do you think it will last? How much do you think it will cost me in the long run?

Your answers and advice are greatly appreciated, thankyou.

I am looking to buy a new car and have narrowed it down to specific cars. I just want your opinions on what you think! Both are around the same price OTD and have a clean title. I am a college student, only working part time, so I won’t be able to afford anything more extravagant than what I have listed below.

1. Mazda Mazda 3 Sedan
Color: Blue
Year: 2005
Miles: about 60k
Interior: Black Leather (no seat heaters)
This is the touring edition with the 2.3 engine, larger rims, pretty new tires, 6 disc in dash CD player, fog lights, leather wrapped steering wheel.
I love the inside of this car, I also like the larger engine (I drive quite a few huge hills every day on my commute) I am not a huge fan of driving a bright blue car but the color is growing on me, and it seems like EVERY girl drives a Mazda 3, I don’t want to be just another girl in a Mazda. I am also worried about the age of the car.

2. Nissan Versa S Hatchback
Color: White
Year: 2009
Miles: about 20k
Interior: Beige Microfiber
This is pretty much the base model with the exception of the 1.8 engine and CD player. Tires with hubcaps, no center console/armrest. I LOVE the way this car looks on the outside, it’s different and unusual and really cute! I also like that it is a newer car and has a factory warranty on it. The one thing I would change is that it’s lacking storage space. I also would buy new rims and tint the windows.

What are your thoughts? Mostly the year is making me hesitant on the Mazda, and the lack of storage is making me hesitant on the Versa.

i just bought this car and after doing a full tuneup it still runs like a piece of crap. weak power, acceleration is not smooth, and sometimes it dies on me when it idles. for the tuneup i changed the sparkplugs, air filter, fuel filter, cleaned the mass airflow sensor, and changed the oil. the sparkplug wires look fine to me.

the check engine light is on so i brought it in for a diagnostic and they gave me the following codes after running it on the computer: 0113, 0102, and 1142. the guy told me to clean the "intake air temp sensor" but i can’t find it. i found the mass airflow sensor and cleaned that with a spray and put it back in….

how can i fix this darn thing? where is the intake air temp sensor?

also, for extra credit answer the following questions:

1. how do i get the "airbag" error light to turn off? can i just take out a fuse?

2. how do i get the seat heaters to work? i checked the fuse and it’s fine, but they still dont get hot.

Here is my problem. I have an ’03′ Surburban with 65,000 miles on it. I have an intermitten problem when I hit a bump it seems like my vehicle shuts off and turns on momentarily. Sometimes the door locks just cycle and sometimes the check engine light goes on and off, ABS light comes on and off, brake warning light goes on and off, service brake system flashes across my odometer and chimeing like I just started the vehicle. I also lose power for a second. Sometimes the ABS light and brake warning light stays on. My brakes work fine and the brake warning light goes out when I shut off and restart the vehicle, then after running awhile the ABS clears. At least till I hit another bump. Any thoughts where to start? It seems to be a loose electrical connection. Checked ths grounds off of the engine and it isn’t loose. I also had the seat heaters on when it did this and they turned off. No OBD codes

I have a 2005 Chevrolet Equinox. I have installed a Pioneer AVIC-F90BT with a Scosche Chime Interface. To get ACC (accessory) power to both, I jumped them into the heated seats fuse. When I try to start the car, nothing. No crank, noise, or anything.
If I disconnect them again, the car starts. What relation does a circuit for seat heaters have with the ignition system? Is there a better place to tie the ACC wires into? Thanks a lot.

A second question is for anybody on Equinoxcentral.com. I have tried registering there a few times and always get a confirmation e-mail, but cannot sign in. I have sent e-mails to the help address, but have never received a response. This has been going on for months. If anyone is registered there, could you please contact an admin for me? Thanks so much.
The Scosche interface is a DCGM16B and the instructions do appear to say it needs to connect to 12-volt ACC.
