I just bought a car with leather seats 2000 toyota Avalon , I love the car but I hate leaher. Do you know if they can be upholsterd into cloth?(no seat heater) and if yes what is the approximate cost? Please help..can it be expensive?
Hi. I’m a college student and my parents are helping me with purchasing my first car. They are paying for it and I will be paying them back over time. Sounds perfect right? Not quite. I’m very picky about vehicles and our maximum spending range is 00. I live in Madison, WI so the market is fairly limited. My parents say it needs to be within 75 miles so if it breaks down we can take it back to be covered by warranty.
All reasonable but the problem is, like I said, I’m very picky about cars. The way I look at it, this is an investment, and the only car I will be using until I am financially independent. Anyways these are the criteria that must be met:
1) black or silver
2) have a cd player
3) be luxury (power everything, leather seats, heated seats preferred etc.)
4) look nice [the only cars i like are sedans or coupes, cadillac (not catera), bmw, lexus (don't really like ES and no others are readily available in my price range), or mercedes (don't like c-class)]
So, thats a lot of information.
I’ll summarize.
I want a car, ideally a black Cadillac STS with a cd player and heated seats, but it tends to only come in V8.
I actually found a 2003 STS with a V6, but it only costs 00. My parents, and I’m a bit skeptical as well, are convinced theres something horribly wrong with it. Is there a way to get the dealer to be honest? HA! Or is it really that great of a buyers market?!
I search every day on craigslist, cars.com, and the local newspaper.
I either need to convince them a V8 will be acceptable, or find a car that both parties can agree on.
Advice? (Don’t tell me not to be so picky, if I’m spending money, I need to like it!!!)
I got a 2008 Scion XB and I want to get either leather seat covers for the 2 front seats and the bench seats or should I take it to a upholstery place where they can install the leather on to the seats and stitching it or can I order leather seats from a Toyota dealership?
So I’m planning on getting my boyfriend this heated seat cover for his truck and I was just wondering if anyone knows for sure if it’ll fit or not. I don’t really want to buy it without being sure that it’ll be right for his seats!

I had a 1995 Ford Mustang and at 50K miles the Head Gasket Blew costing me 00, they said they fixed it but it happened again at 93K miles. Screw that, decided to go with a 2006 Jetta it came with Turbo, Leather Seats, Sunroof, Better MPG, Triptronic, Laser Cutted Keys, and numerous options for around 20K, Went to see what Chevy, Ford, and Dodge had to offer for the price. STANDARD no upgrades NOTHING! For all the options I wanted car would have cost me 30K an extra 10K for what? To cover UAW pensions and Extreme Pay?? Arnt the Nissan Titan trucks 100% American Made and Built? While the F150 are 40% American made and built? Correct me if I am wrong. People that get paid .00 per hour are the ones that should deserve it, people that have earned it with a BA, Masters, or P.H.D, they should get paid for the complex of the job and their skill. Our family owns an AC company that deals with Ford, and when change a copper WIRE we have to let the union do it with 4 workers the work EXPLAIN
Well, I just got my first truck. It’s a Jet Black Dodge Ram 3500, 06 model. It’s got the 6.7 engine, 6 speed manual transmission, Laramie edition. Leather seats, infinity sound system. After market Kicker subs, speakers, and tweeters. Dual 6 inch turn out stacks hooked to a 5 inch exhaust up to the motor. It’s got a bully dog chip set on 7, Buckshot wheels, mud tires, an all steel front bumper that covers the whole grille, and twin turbos… Yea I know this is quite a bit for a first truck. But my parents bought the truck and I’ve been saving for the extras for 4 years. 
But what should I name it… Whatever I name it is going on the back glass in white letters… I’m thinkin coal train, cause I got the star wheel turned so she’ll smoke a little…

My husband and I are selling our 2001 Dodge Stratus R/T 2D 105K miles V6 3.0L engine, leather seats, power everything, multi cd player IN GOOD COND’T… We owe ,700… kbb is ,500… kbb trade in is ,800. Also, the paint is fading badly (factory defect, not covered by Chyrsler), back end "clunks", A/C makes car run harder, check engine light is on due to malfunctioned air sensor and the alarm has malfunctioned forcing me to unlock the passenger side first.
What should I do… We have a baby coming in December and need a reliable, safe new car (minivan maybe). I’ll be attending nursing school too, which is a 60 mile round trip drive.
We don’t want to trade in, but who is going to want this car?? Any advice??
I have a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. I want to know if it is possible for me to put my heated seat equipment in a cloth seat cover. I really don’t like the leather seats that are in it now but I really appreciate the comfort of the heated seats on a cold winter morning. Is this do-able? Thanks in advance.
I’m fixing up a ’93 pontiac Grand Am and the seats are in need of replacement. I would like to change them with leather and something with a little support. The stock one’s are not very comfortable. I know that the trans am’s from the 1990′s have nice leather seats. Will any of these fit in my grand am? Can anyone think of an alternitive? I’ve also considered buying leather covers and adding a little padding when installing them, but I’m afraid that the covers won’t fit right with the change in seat measurments. Also, if it matters. My car is a 1993′ pontiac Grand Am 3.3L V6 sports sedan (4 dr.) I’m also able to work with different colors of leather, just nothing bold. Thank you.
My fiance and I had to trade in my old car for a bigger vehicle because we believed my Saturn was too small for our almost 1 year old, especially taking into consideration trips and such. We are financing the Chrysler and my fiance’s birthday is coming up in October. The car has some outside body damage (some scratches, key scratches) but other than that is fine. We do not believe the person who owned it before us took care of it. The inside speaker covers fell off (front speakers are also blown), the dash board is cracked, the steering wheel is rubbing off, the inside leather seats don’t look black anymore and neither do the inside parts of the car (more like dark greyish now). How do I go about getting the leather seats and inside parts like the dash board back to the color they were. Is there any type of specific paint that could be rubbed on without having to take the car completely apart?
