My 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo has been leaking for a few months now. I bought it used with a 2 year or 20k mile warranty. The owner told me that the warranty doesn’t cover seals so I am SOL. I cant afford to fix it so Ive been procrastinating. It leaks in the ceiling near the sun visors on both the passenger and driver side, it pools up in the floor boards, and leaks near the floor boards as well. I have a sun roof and this thing leaks everywhere it seems!

Well I noticed yesterday that I am getting mold in the driver side floorboard behind the driver seat and I cant prospone any longer. I have a 11month old and a 5 year old and Im afraid of mold and their health! Oh, I did take it in once before and the fixed a seal on the passenger front door (this did not fix the problem, it leaked the very next time it rained), but this is where they "assumed" it was leaking.

If and when they get it fixed, what do I need to do about the mold? Do I need to replace the carpeting and how much will it cost me? Work is slow and funds are scarce but I can find a way. BTW, im not sure if it helps but my a/c doesn’t work so I’m sure that it isn’t a contributing factor.

Yesturday we had a good 3 inchs of really dry snow, and while driving my 1998 Grand Cherokee, i lost traction when turning and the Jeep slid foward and the drive tired ran over the curb and the front bumper cover hit a stop sign and cracked the plastic cover. I was going maybe 5-10mph it wasnt very fast. The stop sign was a wooden post a small 2×2 post and it broke in half.

I drove the Jeep to the store today roads are clear and 100% dry now, and i sware it feals like my Jeep is twisted somehow like the rear end is turning left and the front end is turning right.. Yet the steering wheel is straight when im driving straight. The Vehicle doesnt pull in either direction, and the wheel look straight and turn fine from what i see..

I had my mom drive the Jeep and she said it feals fine. When i was in the passengers seat i still felt that weird fealing like the Jeep was fishtailing almost but that isnt possible because we were on dry pavement.

Is it just me am i out of equilibrium or something ? Or could i have done something to the Jeep when i hit that stop sign ? It was a small impact i mean the bumper cracked but but then those things are thin and i could punch a hole in it if i wanted. One wheel did run over the curb, but i was only going at the max 5-10mph
sorry in the beggining it says drive tired, i ment to say driver tire

Im working on a fixed budget of about 0 my floor of my 98 tj is pretty scratched and some rusted spots but not rusted through. People who had it before me had 2 car seats and it scratched the hell out of the back and he was a firefighter and well we will just say the floor is pretty nasty. I also have some leaking in the floor water will come up while driving in heavy rain and that could be fixed by covering my floorboard in herculiner. The question is should I put it in or spend the money on something else for my jeep and if so what? Also I ride with the top and doors off alot in the summer and ive heard the liner can get goey? Also only have the money for 1-2 coats people say it takes 3-4?
Well its not really weakness of the floor its just that it is nasty and if I was to put a new metal floor in and paint it, it would just get scratched up again. Plus when there is a flaw in the herculiner you can just bond it with more of the paint. Plus there are some miner leaks in my florrboard and its very annoying when it rains of im offroading. I have no way to cut metal and I personally think that would cost to much and take to long for I need to be able top drive my jeep daily but I could work on it for a weekend.
