I have a 2005 Toyota Solara with 27,000 miles. The heated seats only come on for about 1 minute every 10 minutes. They also do not begin to heat until hot air starts to blow from the heater. I have tested 3 other Toyotas and they all started to heat within 20 seconds and all heated for 2 minutes every 2 minutes, or as soon as they started to cool, they began to heat again. Also, the battery was just replaced because it tested marginal. Could there be a loose wire somewhere? Is there any source that could affect both the battery and the heated seats? I don’t understand why my seats do not work as well as the other Toyotas I tried.
It is under warranty until Tuesday, but I have taken it to the dealer and they say there is nothing wrong with the seats because they do heat. I don’t think they heat like they should, and they obviously don’t heat like the other Toyotas I tried.

I recently purchased a 2003 Jetta 1.8T. and so far I could not be happier. However…. I have noticed over the course of the past few days that occasionally and briefly the Battery light will flicker and go off. Well today it actually blinked, as in it stayed on for a good second and went off. I think it blinked twice and I turned all accessories off and it did not come back on. Could this be a bad battery? I live in Iowa and I run the heated seats/defroster(s)/ heater on high almost daily.
The car has not given me any trouble whatsoever with starting or running the accesories….. I am going to put a gel-cell battery in it because the one that is in it is about 6 years old. Should I still have the alternator checked out?
Or is there a way for me to check the alternator myself without unhooking stuff?

i bought a 02 dodge durango slt+ in july 08 for about 13,000 tht just got on the lot. and im just wondering how much it would be worth now im the second owner, 4.7 liter power tech magnum engine, patriot blue pearl coat with luxury silver trim, slt+ Package, black leather interior and wood accents, air conditioning 2nd and 3rd row seat air conditioning and heater, dual mode air conditioning and heater, 3rd row seat, power seats, hud display, chrome grille, almost perfect stock rims, decent tread stock tires, 61,000 miles, perfect running engine, no flaws in interior, no nicks or scratches, perfect paint, fog lights, running boards, super clean, and some more minor options. most dodge durangos iv seen are around 8,000 and i figured why the price was so much was because of the silver trim, patriot blue pearl coat and the wood trim around the doors and stereo. o ya it has the trailer hitch, tint windows, and the car has always been hand wash constinally with high class wash probally about 25+ times a yr and waxed several times a yr ( 4 ). so wht would it be worth now private and dealer O YA almost forgot it has the infinity sound system with 8 speakers.
also it is 4wd with advanced transfer case
o ya i totally forgot i also have dual heated seats rear axel limited or differential slip, cassete player and trailer tow group
cruise control too! wide tires and oversized off road tires

I have a 1999 Cadillac Seville STS. For a while now the car will be running fine and then when I come to a stop sign or stop light, the car will stall. Usually at a stop light, but only after the car has sat there for 10-45 sec. and then when the light goes green right before i hit the accurate the car dies. This does not all ways happen, probably 10 percent fo the time, which is still a lot. The car doesn’t have to be cold or hot, it happens on short and long trips. It has been in to the shop to get looked at and no one can seem to figure it out. I used to believe that it occurred more in the winter because of the electrical load of the heated seats, and heater, but even when all the accessories are turned off, it will still stall. If anyone has any idea, or can even let me know that this has happened to them as well, that would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

I have a 2004 Acura TSX. I just replaced the battery. I have noticed that the dash lights are flashing that are located in the middle part of by my radio and heating and air controls. At night time they will flicker on and off, not all the time but sometimes. Also, my heated seats! Ah, well my driver seat heater is only heating on the part where my back rest and the lower part being sat on doesnt even heat up any more. The passenger side seat doesnt even get that warm even when on high also the back part of the seat where you rest your back has never heated up. I have no idea so any suggestion would help a ton! I would like to know what to start with first. Oh last thing my check engine light and my maintenance required light is on and i had them run a diagnostic test on it and they said that something with my exhaust is under threshold. Please let me know if you happen to know anything!

Thanks!

I have a 2005 Chevrolet Equinox. I have installed a Pioneer AVIC-F90BT with a Scosche Chime Interface. To get ACC (accessory) power to both, I jumped them into the heated seats fuse. When I try to start the car, nothing. No crank, noise, or anything.
If I disconnect them again, the car starts. What relation does a circuit for seat heaters have with the ignition system? Is there a better place to tie the ACC wires into? Thanks a lot.

A second question is for anybody on Equinoxcentral.com. I have tried registering there a few times and always get a confirmation e-mail, but cannot sign in. I have sent e-mails to the help address, but have never received a response. This has been going on for months. If anyone is registered there, could you please contact an admin for me? Thanks so much.
The Scosche interface is a DCGM16B and the instructions do appear to say it needs to connect to 12-volt ACC.
