-93-pound Collie/Canaan Dog mix AND 48-pound Border Collie/Cattle Dog mix.
-Shedding and front seat restriction are not an issue

I just want to preserve my relic of a car lol. I have improvised with "traditional" dog covers by stuffing the head rest straps down the back of the seat and wrapping the other straps around the seat-belt hooks, but I want something that’s meant for the headless seat. Some dog covers are known for the straps ripping off, so if you know of it doing that then please let me know so I can keep an eye out. Please provide a brand or name and as much info about the cover that you know, like the material, hammock or regular style, strap durability, waterproof or not, etc. Not so much looking for luxury, more so functionality however ALL suggestions are welcome. Thank you!

It all started as a normal school day. I got out of bed while my parents slept soundly in their room below, took a quick shower and was working on pulling a shirt over my head while avoiding a wet tangle of brown hair when I heard heavy footfalls down the hallway.
Everything was a blur as my door nearly broke in half as two guys stormed into my room. Before I had the time to scream my instincts kicked in. I had never had any kind of defense training and my parents were amazed at how I could take down people twice my size. My fist came up and my legs separated for balance. I dodged the muscular arms coming after after and had managed to aim a kick at my attacker, but the thump of contact never came as my target grabbed the foot that flew at him and threw me over his shoulder. The pair carried me to a black SUV and set me down gently in the backseat. My mind and heart raced as I tried to think of a reason to what had just happened.
The men in the front seat pulled away saying something in a language that sounded like………. but, I couldn’t be sure. I watched, feeling helpless as I looked back towards the home I’d known most of my life. The one thing that came to mind was Mason. My best friend in the world. He meant the most to me and he would be pretty much the only thing I would miss. My parents would miss me, fake grief and put on a show for the whole town I knew they would get over it fairly quickly. Mason on the other hand was different. His parents didn’t care about him at all. To them he was just an inconvenience and he tried desperately to find their love. My parents weren’t much better but, I could take it. He couldn’t. I remember the first time he told about his parents. It was after school and we were in the kitchen, the entire house to our selves while my parents were at work.
His sleeves were pushed up to his elbows and I noticed the fading purple marks of fingers ringing up his arm. I gasped and my face was covered in concern. Who ever did this to him couldn’t get away with it. Mason pulled his sleeves back down as I made way over to the table from the fridge.
"Mason." I paused to look at his face. Who could be doing this to him? He was my best friend and practically family to me. If someone messed with him, they messed with me. In that sense we were like a packaged deal. "Who did this to you?"
He wouldn’t look at me but, mumbled that it was nothing. It killed me to cause him any pain but I knew that was the only way to get him to talk. I grabbed his arm where the bruises had been the darkest and pushed the sleeve up once more.
"These?" I gripped his arm firmer and tears almost formed in my eyes as he winced from the pain. "These bruises trailing your arm? This isn’t something you can just shrug off Mase, tell me who did this."
My mind was brought back from flashback when I found that the man in the passenger seat turned and was looking at me.
"Elicia, do you know why you’re here?" How did this guy know my name? I let my eyes drift over his body and end on his face.
His light brown hair slightly covering his dark brown eyes as he looked at me.
"Honestly? No, I have no idea why I’m here, or why you’ve kidnapped me." To my surprise my voice stayed calm and even. The boy in the passenger seat looked shocked at my response and turned back to his partner who’s eyes never left the road. A quick conversation took place, once again in the foreign language I couldn’t place. Their voices dropped to a whisper as I heard the boy who had talked to me earlier say something to his partner in English.
"If she doesn’t even know why she’s here then how will Genvieve explain everything to her? She thinks we kidnapped her for god’s sakes!" The whisper came out as a hiss I didn’t think was possible coming from someone who looked as nice as he did, but then again he did just snatch me out of my own house and was driving me to a place I didn’t know about. I wasn’t sure if they knew I could understand them or not, but I said nothing as they whispered back and forth. If I wasn’t supposed to hear this I would try my best to remember every word that was said.

So please tell me what you think of this I want honest opinions no matter how brutal and tell me what YOU think will or should happen. I’m 13 so I can take anything you guys wanna dish out lol
Sorry about the sentence in the beginning about what language the guys are speaking! I haven’t decided what the language is yet! Thestring of periods was to remind that was there but it didn’t work out too well Haha
*For anyone wondering: The reason she wasn’t screaming and kicking was because Elicia wouldnt do that.Add the shock of the fact that she had actually just been kidnapped. She also goes with logic.Y waste her voice to anger the guys when it probably wouldn’t have helped anyway. By the time anyone heard her she would already be on the way to where ever these guys were taking her.

I asked this question last week:

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=ArydeSryzkaKKNvPNlOjc_Lty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20100923105303AAliXxM

And got a lot of great answers and I thought heavily about the entire situation. Well Friday and Saturday rolled around and my husband seemed ok…Sunday all was well until while we were out running errands with our daughter, he decided to stop at his moms house who has been gone since April so he goes and waters her plants, starts up her husbands truck and just checks to make sure nothing major is going on in the house. Well the truck wouldn’t start so he pulled my car up to jump start the truck from. Well it wasn’t charging it enough so he asked me to get in the drivers seat and push the accelerater down a little so it would idle a little higher…I was holding Haley so we both got in the front seat and I continued to hold her while I did this. His cell phone was in the cup holder and she saw it. She loves cell phones, so she picked it up and started playing with it…well what 10 months old consider playing, they hold it and shake it around, etc. Well my husband got the truck started and then motioned like he wanted me to get in so we could go for a ride around the block in it. As I was transporting Haley from one vehicle to the other, she still had his cell phone and she dropped it as I was putting her in the truck. It hit the driveway which is cement. His cell phone cover popped off, the back of the phone popped off and the battery came off as well. As I bent down to pick up the phone and all it’s pieces he said is that my phone and I responded yes. He then went off on me cussing and everything, so I simply turned back around, shut the truck door and got back in my car. When he got back in the car and we started to leave his mom’s he started talking again and I ignored him. He finally said are you going to speak or what, so I got up the nerve to tell him that I wanted a divorce. He said a few things after that, but nothing of importance. When we got home he said are we going to talk about this and I said, what’s the point, nothing ever gets better and then I started crying. For the first time I think ever he walked up to me and grabbed me and started hugging me and ever since then he’s been being extremely nice to me.

Do you think me finally saying I wanted a divorce actually might have scared him? I know he doesn’t want our daughter to grow up the way he did when his parents divorce being put on a schedule and only able to see his dad on his weekend. I’m not really sure what to do now. But he’s been cooking me dinner, washing all the bottles and sippy cups when he gets home from work with her and other stuff.
Thanks girl! I like your advice and think I will do that with him tonight maybe.

am dating a guy who has said some things that really bug me.
This is a new person and he seems like a very good guy. Everybody who knows him says he’s great. He’s smart, charming , funny ect.
He has also been good to me so far, taken me out on dates, treated me with respect, ect.
But sometimes, he will accidently say something that hurts my feelings. It’s very sublte and little comments but they’re starting to add up and it’s bugging me. We’ve dated about a month and a half now and he calls me his "gf". I need advice! What does this stuff mean?
I’ll use New Year’s Eve as my example:
-I just got my hair highlighted a different color. I’m not a huge fan of it but oh well. He noticed a difference said it looks good and I told him "well I’m glad you like it, my entire family hates it" (true story). We were in a group of people and he goes: "well that’s probably because they don’t want you to look like a stripper"
? (implying that’s what my hair makes me look like)
He knows that upset me. He briefly apologized but continued to hang out with his friends ect not paying much attention to me after that. I would’ve thought if he said that and realized he made a mistake he’d start kissing A** or something but he didn’t.
-In fact, he dind’t pay THAT much attention to me the entire night. I literally chose to hang out with him that night over all my friends who were travelling to another place. He knew this too. But he definitely didn’t reallly go out of his way to make me feel that comfortable or anything.
-We were in a car on the drive home in the very backseat. He told me about the girl sitting in the front seat:
"See that girl up there. She is awesome. She’s like one of my favorite people. We both agreed that if we didn’t meet anybody or date somebody that we would get married at age 35."
-When we were drunk and got home I said "well if I look like a stripper and that girl’s so awesome then why don’t you just go date her instead."
his response: "Have some self confidence"
(granted when I told him he said that the next morning he felt bad)
-The next morning: my best friend stayed at his house too. His heater was broken and he offered my friend his robe, ect to stay warm. He offered clothes/warm things to me as an afterthought. He seemed a lot more concerned about her being cold than me.
-When walking out to my car he offered my best friend his arm to help her down the stairs and not me. Granted I was walking a little ahead of them but it made me mad.
He has a tendency to do this with my friends, he caters to their needs very much so but sometimes treats me like second choice or puts me on the backburner or something. This seems weird to me seeing as how it’s early on the relationship. He also sometimes throws out little putdowns (like the stripper comment) in front of my friends toward me. It’s almost like he’s trying so hard to impress them he puts me down in the process.
interpretations?

YIKES, it’s waaayy more complicated than it should be. ok, i removed the front seat & even managed to remove the entire instrument panel ( i would call it the dashboard). i have the new core. i have the upper evaporator fitting (from accumulator) removed, which took a lot of tugging…now i can’t seem to get the lower evaporator fitting apart. of course, it’s in an area where i can’t grab it very well, but i’ve been using wood blocks and other longer pieces to get leverage and pry against the bend , but just can’t get it apart. i have soaked it several times with liquid wrench. the coupling disconnector is engaging the spring. i really need to finish this so i can get the car back together before christmas day~! HELP~

i have a 98 ford taurus..it has some rust on the rear wheel well/fender..and the interior has a cigarette burn on the driver seat, and a light bulb burn on the carpet in the front seat, in the middle..happened when the guy was changing a heater core…and the passenger seat has a rip. were the seam is sewed. but that can be sewed back…but other than that, it has a brand new water pump, head gaskets, heater core, thermostat, fan switch, water pump pulley, and the entire system has been flushed, and had dye ran through it to check for leaks…has only 115,000 miles on it. and paint looks good. other than the rust..new tires also
yeah, i’m not planning on asking for a rediculous amount.. it runs great..good heat and a/c.. nothings wrong with it now that i put all the money in it of course.. lol

Hi guys!
How is this part of a story I wrote (be honest)

Might be a bit confusing because spacing is messed up and you can’t do italics.

April 4th, 2009
6:15 AM
Ittoqqortoormiit, Greenland, Kingdom of Denmark

Michael Anderson

Michael Anderson sat in dead silence in the back of the old truck, gazing out at the array of colorful houses littered over the rocky ground. In the distance lay the wide expanse of the Arctic Ocean and rolling mountain-like hillsides. Over the water he could see a glorious sunset shedding its light over the sparkling waters.
He hated the sight. He blinked through his oval glasses with near boredom.
From the front seat, the driver looked back at him with a grin.
“Er den hvad jer antaget, bekendt?” He asked, in Danish.
Michael sighed in irritation at the broken silence. “Ja , beklageligvis.”
Insulted, the driver turned back to the wheel. Michael in turn returned to gazing out of the window as the car drove to a dock spreading out over the shoreline. Three cars had already arrived.
The truck slowed to a stop next to them, and Anderson immediately stepped out into the cold. He saw that his driver was collecting his bags for him, and he quickly ran over to him.
“Jeg får mine egne ting, mange tak,” he said through gritted teeth. The man looked annoyed but gave him the bags anyway.
Michael walked down the shoreline to a fellow in a jacket and jeans. He was a Danish man with a dark mustache and an excited expression.
Wondering how the man could stand the cold in clothes like those, Michael reluctantly reached his hand forward to shake, and the man took it immediately
The man looked him up and down. “So, you’re Michael Anderson, I presume?”
“Yeah. What’s yours?”
The man smiled. “I assume you mean my name. I’m Gabriel Flemming. I’ll be your guide during your trip.” He had a strong Danish accent.
He gestured toward the rest of the group, which consisted of a tall, tan-haired man in a thick coat who was shivering uncontrollably, a black-haired European lady with a jacket who seemed completely at home, and a brown-haired Italian who, like the other man, was shivering.
“These are the other winners you will be spending time with for the next week. You’ll want to get to know them well, how do you say it? ASAP, as you’ll be working together and need to gain trust amongst yourselves.”
Though Michael wanted nothing of the sort, and doubted he ever would, he begrudgingly told them his name.
The tall man stepped forward, holding out a thickly gloved hand that was shaking in the cold.
“G’day, Mike. I’m Ethan. Ethan Brett. Great to meet ya, mate.” Michael was surprised to hear Ethan’s confident Australian voice. It didn’t match his current look at all.
The woman raised her hand in greeting. “Morning, Michael. I’m Emily Larson.” She had a strong British accent.
The Italian man said nothing.
After waiting awkwardly for a moment, Gabriel turned toward the rest of the group. “And this,” he said with obvious annoyance, “is Antonio Barrochi.”
He then turned towards the wide expanse of ocean before them, all signs of irritation gone, and stretched his arms dramatically. “Just wait until you see what we have planned for you! The sights you will see will blow-”
He was interrupted when another car drove up. The car door opened and a very fat man practically rolled out of it. He trudged down the road towards them in only a T-shirt and shorts, munching a bag of potato chips. Behind him, his driver struggled to carry the man’s massive duffel bag, and Michael wondered what could possibly be inside. Food, probably.
The man reached out a pudgy, potato chip-covered hand and shook that of the surprised Gabriel.
“Hey, guys!” he said to the group through a full mouth. “I’m Carl. Sorry I’m late. Bad luck, y’know. So where are we off to? Himalayas?” (No one bothered pointing out that those were in Asia.)
Antonio muttered something.
Gabriel, on the other hand, seemed positively overjoyed to finally meet another person as happy (and stupid, thought Michael) as he was. He led everyone to a large motorboat at the dock with De Verdrinkende Dame painted on the side with black paint.
“’The Drowning Lady’?” Emily exclaimed incredulously. “What kind of name for a boat is that?”
Gabriel laughed. “Hey, I didn’t name it.” He jumped up on the deck of the boat, gesturing for them to follow. Everyone did, Michael last. He had to help Carl onto the boat. Carl grinned when this nigh-impossible feat was complete.
“Thanks, man! Can I call you Mike?” he asked hopefully.
“No,” muttered Michael as their bags were loaded on deck. “And get some thicker clothes on, or you’ll freeze.”
“No thanks, Mike. I’m fine.”
Mike swore under his breath with exasperation.
Looking up, he saw that Gabriel had gone to the wheel, grasping it with a firm hand.
“Here we go everyone!” he shouted dramatically. An assistant revved the engine and the De Verdrinkende Dame began to move over
(continuing from end)

the clear, shining waves into the unknown expanse of the Arctic Ocean.
“Wait! We forgot my bag!” Carl shouted ten minutes in.
Michael sighed. It’s gonna be a long week.
