So I am guy that’s almost 16 and im looking at SUV’s and I’ve found a 2003 Mercury Mountaineer Premier V8 AWD with 78,000 miles on it for ,986. Its a great price and it has a third row seat, dvd system, and sunroof. I originally wanted a 2003-2005 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer or Limited V8 but have had a hard time finding one. Gas, insurance, and maintenece wont be a problem my dad is very mechanically inclined and i can cover my gas and insurance as my insurance was quoted at 6 every 6 months which isn’t bad at al! So tell me what you think about this truck!
I think the mileage is average its a 7 year old car with 78,000 miles, thats around 11,000 miles a year!
a 16 year old girl just got an old ford f 150 she would like pink interior accessories that dont cost an arm and a leg any ideas
My Mazda B4000 4×4 p/u has vibration that seems to come from under driver’s seat. I only notice it at highway speed, though it vibrates to some extent at all speeds. . At 65 mph, it’s tolerable, but at seventy + it shakes the whole truck. If it is vibrating and I let off the gas, the vibration quits immediately, so it can’t be the wheels or tires.
I was told that 4×4 Ford Rangers (same as Mazda) are notorious for problems with the front drive shaft. Something about it spinning even though 4 wheel drive is not engaged.
I have an oil leak coming from the engine, I think. I had the heads replaced in 2008. This oil leak is covering the underbody, making it hard to see if the transfer case is leaking. I’ve tried shaking both drive shafts, and they don’t budge. My tranny oil is black, but hasn’t lost any in two weeks (since I filled it from the ‘low’ mark.) Any ideas?
Is this a driveshaft problem? A transfer case problem? How much should it cost to fix? The truck has over 200,000 miles on it.
…day?
I had to drive my mom’s ‘61 Ford Falcon with no radio and torn seat covers. I put a bedspread over the seat covers and made a list of popular songs that we could sing together. She was a good sport and we actually had a good time, cruising around and singing that warm spring night. It didn’t work out because she was interested in a friend of mine, who turned out to be a real bum. I’ll always remember that car and that girl and making the best of the situation. What’s your funny memory or story?
I will shortly be returning my escape at the end of its lease – i took out the wearcare program and am wondering if a damaged seatbelt would be covered – rear seat – the plastic surrounding the lock got caught when lowering a seat and broke.
i had checked the contract and online site – it does go into some detail about additional items that are covered but isnt clear on all things – this is one of them. Id really need an answer form a ford dealership I guess
I need hub covers for a regular 15" Ford wheel with
5 on 4 1/2 lug pattern. I don’t mean a wheel cover or a wheel cover center cap. I need a hub cover that can be retained
by the lug nuts. It doesn’t have to cover the lugs. OEM is fine
as long as it will work. Some push thru from the backside and
stay in place via a small flange. Others have captive metal
tangs that position the cover against the lug nuts but don’t
touch the nut and seat interface. I’ll be happy to vote best
answer and will be watching for a reply. New or used doesn’t
matter. A part # would be fine too. I’m desparate ! The wheel
in question is a 15" from a mid-80’s full sized Ford.
i have a ford escort
and right now i have seat covers with hearts
furry sterring wheel cover
and on my rear view mirror i have a mirror cover and i have hawaiin flowers and a dolphin hanging from the mirror.
any other ideas?
like something i could do with my cup holders cuz they bother me.
not something to go out and buy but something i can do with stuff i would have at home, but make it cute.
‘63 ford falcon futura convertible, 170 c.i. inline six, the #6 cylinder will sometimes get gunked up with what looks like oil, then she runs crappy. Once I change the plug she’s fine. It seems this happens with excessive idling, like rush hour. We haven’t pulled the valve cover off yet but my dad’s guess was: I guess there is a drain hole in the rear of the head that allows the oil to cycle down and maybe a rubber valve stem seat popped off and plugged it? Does that sound right? He explained it to me but I was lost.
o.k. I forgot to say I did a compression test: cylinder #1-150, #2-170, #3-170, #4-170, #5-170, #6 (closest to firewall)-170. Is that good? Why is #1 a little off but nothing bad happens to it?
I mean… if Europe can sue Microsoft for including Windows Media Player and Internet Explorer with Windows, can we sue the car companies for including Engines and Seat covers?
I mean by that logic, if I want a Ford engine and GM seats in my Chrystler I should have that right. I feel that the auto companies make it too hard to make our own choices.
While we’re on the subject, it’s also unfair that cable companies bundle in phone with their TV and internet. This makes it hard for me to choose whether or not to use a cell phone.
Maybe we should all petition Obama to make us Socialists so we can have the same freedom of choice that Europe does.
Who’s with me?! xD
