Details about the car are below. We have priced the car at 0. The Blue Book private party price is 5 and Edmunds private party price is 7. We’ve had 5 responses – one person stood us up. We have responded to 3 people and have had no communication after that. I’m waiting for an email from one person who found our ad on Craigslist. Is our price too high for a car in this condition?

Good things about this car:
*Low insurance cost (we’re in our early 20s and we pay /month)
*Easy to drive – great first car!
*Very roomy
*Cool seat covers – appropriate for guys or girls
*Low mileage for a car this age (approximately 7500 miles per year)
*Good gas mileage (26 hwy, 18 city, 21 combined)
*Large trunk
*Spare tire and jack take up no room in the trunk!
*Has a great CD player and speakers
*Rear window defogger

Bad things:
*Leaks coolant
*Leaks transmission fluid
*AC doesn’t work properly – likely needs freon
*Heater doesn’t work
*Small dents on right side of car and on hood
*Paint scraped off on rear bumper – my aunt accidentally bumped the back with her car
*Right side door creaks as it opens – door works fine, though
*Headliner is hanging slightly – doesn’t affect driving or anything
*Back driver’s side window doesn’t close fully, needs a new clip

Hello, Selling my 2003 Acura RSX.Automatic transmission, 4cyl V-Tec engine. Silver exerior, black interior.It runs and drives great. Engine starts immeadiately every time, transmission shifts smoothly and consistantly, gets Excellent gas milage. Oil changed every 2500 miles. Aftermarket 18" wheels. touch screen CD and DVD player. HID/Xenon Headlights. I’ve driven this car to and from work everyday for the last two years and never had a single problem with it, other than a flat tire. I have paid the car off and have the title in hand, It is an Arkansas title with the remarks of "previous damage odometer discrepancy" The title says 49,730 which is within 100 miles of what the gauges said when i bought the car, it now has 82,632 . I backed into a car in the walmart parking lot and messed up the paint on the rear bumper, its not going to fall off or anything, but needs to be repainted. Drivers seat is torn on the bottom. Also car has rock chips on the bumper from the highway driving. power windows, cruise control, air conditioning, heater, cd/dvd player all work great.

I’m interested in buying a used 2001 Tacoma Limited SR5 pkg. w/ 120k for ,500. Im not too enthused about the mileage but it is a Toyota. It is automatic V6, has leather seating, dual stainless steel exhaust, chrome step-up bar, and a fiberglass bed cover, and really well taken care of it and still looks almost new. Timing belt changed at 95k. I’m 21 looking to buy my first car. Some established credit for the past 2 1/2 years, mainly credit cards. I’m just looking for some opinions on if it would be ok to buy a used car, this one in particular, or if it is better to buy new with a first-time buyers program or something like that and get a car with lower miles.
According to kelley the 4wd limited double cab books at about ,000. And I want the truck for camping, dirt bike, etc… I live in Colorado.

At the local dealership they have a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix with 200,000 miles on it, its 95.
I havnt looked at it in person but the pictures shown seem to be very nice, the seats look a little worn but nothing a seat cover couldnt fix.
I believe its the SE model.
This car would be my first car, I am 16.
Do you think this car will hold up for 6-12 months or so?
Or do you think its a waste of money?
Also what are the chances of me getting a better price?

Basically my parents said that since it wasn’t way expensive they would let me do some stuff to it.

How much would a paint job be for a 1978 ford fairmont two door?
I’m thinking about getting it pink or purple or red…
It runs totally fine it doesn’t have AC and the inside seats kind of are cracking and there isn’t a radio-
But I’ll just roll the windows down-
And get seat covers,
And put in a radio/CD system all easy fixers right?
How much do you think it would cost me to do all that and get a paint job?

My brother took my car while I was at a BBQ, He was slightly intoxicated and had his 8 year old daughter in the back seat, He ended up hitting a parked truck on the road, less than a half mile from my house. My whole right side of my car is gone, My mirror, antenna, side columns, head light, right side of my bumper, and my A frame of my SUV is broken, I couldn’t drive it as if i tried my right tire would of popped off. I had to get it towed. My SUV is a 2006 Jeep liberty. I don’t have insurance on it right now, although I had an insurance card before i got it canceled, which state’s I’m still covered until October 3rd. (which i showed the cop) My dad thinks that my car will just be totaled. I owe more than ,000 on this car. The truck he hit also has severe damage to the back left tail light and broken his A frame in the back as well. The cops were called and luckily the cop that came was really nice and waited for me to get to the scene. He cited my brother for failure to control and my brother got really lucky he didn’t get a ride to the police station. My brother just got a DUI less than 2 weeks ago. My dad said that the money for my car and the guy’s truck to be fixed is going to come out of my pocket. I am only 19 I do not want to be in debt, this was my first car. I’m pissed at my brother and he has decided he is not going to go to court and he’s going to run so it’s all going to be my responsibility since my brother is a dummy. What do I do? Do i call and get my insurance reinstated and hope they cover it or do i just pay it out of my pocket?

I didn’t have insurance on that car as I have not been driving it since i just moved back to Ohio from Arizona 3 months ago.

Hi. I’m a college student and my parents are helping me with purchasing my first car. They are paying for it and I will be paying them back over time. Sounds perfect right? Not quite. I’m very picky about vehicles and our maximum spending range is 00. I live in Madison, WI so the market is fairly limited. My parents say it needs to be within 75 miles so if it breaks down we can take it back to be covered by warranty.

All reasonable but the problem is, like I said, I’m very picky about cars. The way I look at it, this is an investment, and the only car I will be using until I am financially independent. Anyways these are the criteria that must be met:
1) black or silver
2) have a cd player
3) be luxury (power everything, leather seats, heated seats preferred etc.)
4) look nice [the only cars i like are sedans or coupes, cadillac (not catera), bmw, lexus (don't really like ES and no others are readily available in my price range), or mercedes (don't like c-class)]

So, thats a lot of information.
I’ll summarize.

I want a car, ideally a black Cadillac STS with a cd player and heated seats, but it tends to only come in V8.

I actually found a 2003 STS with a V6, but it only costs 00. My parents, and I’m a bit skeptical as well, are convinced theres something horribly wrong with it. Is there a way to get the dealer to be honest? HA! Or is it really that great of a buyers market?!

I search every day on craigslist, cars.com, and the local newspaper.

I either need to convince them a V8 will be acceptable, or find a car that both parties can agree on.

Advice? (Don’t tell me not to be so picky, if I’m spending money, I need to like it!!!)

Ha, they had some other kinds like black with hearts and cherries. But i didn’t love them. The only kind that i thought was really cute was a hawaiin flower kind. They were blue and i liked that. i just want something young, and fun and that will make my car look good It looks good but i wanna make it look like MY car.

yup, so like i said. i have a 2003 dodge neon sxt. lame, right? but anyways, its gotta 2.0 liter SOHC 16-valve 4 cylinder engine, auto, with an 1800 watt amp and 2 12" 100 watt subs in a box that barely fits in my trunk lol. its not much.i wanna add some balls.

i’ve been looking around online and i found out some good turbos, upgrades, exhausts, and some body kits and rims.

haven’t found much on interior. i wanna see if i can get some cheap srt4 seats or just covers, possibly new shifter, deck, possibly steering wheel.

basically, i wanna lot done to it, but i don’t really wanna do too much. it is my first car, after all. lol

also, what about some stuff i can find in a junkyard?
