I just bought a 4 band eq (simple, but really all i want is more subwoofer adjustment) and i am lookin for a place to put it in my ’97 grand cherokee. It does have one spot that intrigues me… There is a window about the size of head unit on the dash just in front of the shifter for package indicators (ie. towing packages, 4wheel, A/C). My jeep only has 4wheel, which is also indicated on the shifter, so to have this picture of a truck with its wheels lighting up when you shift into 4wheel is pretty much useless… I was thinkin about takin that out and making an fiberglass cover to cover the space between the EQ edges and dash. Bad idea? good idea? what about wireing? Will it be ok if i just cap those wires making the 4wheel indicator light up, or does the 4wheel system use that in the curciut to make it run?

I have also considered some other not so attractive places to put it… ie, alongside the centerconsole between it and the driver seat, in the glove compartment, under the dash hang-mounted…

Anyone have any cool ideas of where i could put it? anyone have any experience with this?

I have just become the proud owner of a Jeep. it is a 1990 and is pretty torn up inside. I plan on having it for as long as I can. Saying that, do I reupholster the seats and put a new carpet kit in it, or do I mend the seats with duct tape and put slip covers over the seats and put a tough lining in the bottom. I am not yet in the financial stting to do an over haul like the first option and I still have to replace some things, like the driver seat and inside door panels. So do I wait to do an over haul or do an inexpencive and durable quick fix?
It runs fine, just needs a new ownership tune up.

it has the 350 vortec engine with only 140k on it
the body has 218 k on it with no rust . looks really good well taken care of
the rims are a little washed up show wear .
tires are still good .
it has some wear on the driver seat drom getting in and out .
the engine light is on right now , i went and had it tested and it just needs a tune up
other than that its a great truck id drive it anywere .

I am looking to buy a 2000 Dodge 2500 EXT. Cab short bed 4X4 24-valve Cummins Turbo Diesel and wanted to know what you people thought of them? I also wanted to know if this truck would be a good buy I will copy and paste the stuff on what the seller had to say about this truck. SELLER: "Truck has 235,000 miles but still gets 20mpg and runs great. Motor has an Accel Diesel 3-position chip, 1- stock, 2- 50hp, 3- 90hp, i also put a BD Boost Fooler and built an open air system on it. Exhaust is 4" turbo back that goes into a 5" chrome stack, Transmission was rebuilt at Chance Transmissions, put a TCI Billet Torque Converter, TCI Shift kit, and a TCI deep brushed aluminum trans. pan. Four wheel drive works great, never had a problem, new brakes, has clear corner lights with blue xenon bulbs in them. I have a chrome bull bar with kc lights that will go with it, as well as a set of RCD 6" lift coils and a Rough Country track bar relocation kit. Truck has a 2.5" leveling kit and 305/75/16 tires. inside the center console has wear on it and the driver seat has a hole in it, has a new Sony head unit and a black dash cover, interior is all black and dark grey. I don’t know what you call the type of seat cover I need for my s-10 pickup truck. It’s not a bench seat and its not a bucket seat. The little piece of seat in the middle is attached to the driver seat. and i guess you would call the passenger seat a bucket seat. NOT SURE! HELP!

I dont know how to get the back seat covers on. where to attach the clips or how to get the driver seat cover over the armrest. p.s no instructions come with the covers. If anyone knows wat to do I would really appreciate the help. Thanks

Dent above windshield! Should I try to repair the dent, or just leave it alone? It’s from a BB gun. And there are some "spider web looking" cracks in the paint on the hood. I have factory touch up paint. Should I buff it really good, put on some touch up paint, then buff again? There are some other cosmetic repairs that need to be done, (New soft top, new driver seat, re-paint fenders, tire cover, etc.) It is a 2000, less then 99,000 miles (mostly highway miles), I am the only owner, and never have had any problems with it. It’s yellow, black top, half doors, air, CD player, sound bar, 4cyl, tires are pretty new. I hardly ever drive it, I work with my husband so we always drive his car. How would this effect the trade-in value? (I would say it is in "Fair" condition at worst.) Or would I be putting more money into it than I should? Would I be losing money?

I have a 86 Bronco II and the driver seat belt clasp broke. I switched it out with the passenger, but I still need a seat belt clasp. Does anyone know if ford covers seat belts with their lifetime warranty like some other car manufacturers?
