Know where I can find some classic cars?

I have been searching for the right car. My dream car above others is a 72′ Charger, but I’m flexible. My uncle and I have been wanting to rebuild a car ever since I told him I was interested in learning about cars. Here is a list of the following makes:
-oldsmobile(1968-1972)
-chevrolet(1967-1985)
-dodge(1967-1974)
I would like anything that is not too big of a project just minimum rust and cosmetic damage we can handle anything under the hood. I don’t want a ground up project just yet. This is going to be my first car so if I have to just throw some seat covers on and roll the windows down I don’t mind. My uncle is a mechanic, so he knows his cars. If you know anyone who can help please email me back at gunther92@ymail.com, and we are located in North Texas.Thank You!!

Dodge Charger Customization Tips for Beginners

Dodge Charger Customization Tips for Beginners

There are many reasons you may choose to customize your vehicle. Perhaps you want a different look without buying a new car. Maybe you saw another Charger just like yours but with great accessories you just feel you must purchase. No matter the reason, there are many ways to customize your Dodge Charger to fit your personal preferences and needs. Customization provides you with a way in which to enhance your vehicle at an affordable price and make changes as often as you like. Below are tips that will show you how to customize your Dodge Charger by adding accessories that are guaranteed to make others take another look at your new and improved ride.

The starting point for the customization of your Dodge Charger is the front end. The grill is the most noticeable part of your vehicle and is often thought of as the face of your car. You can install a grill that is classy and will make your Charger look luxurious while adding value to the car. There are many grill styles from which to choose that range drastically in appearance. The one you select will depend on your particular personality and preferences.

Once you have customized your grille, it’s time to consider the wheels. If you have decided on a chrome grill, you may also want to go with chrome wheels. This, however, can prove to be a difficult task due to the great number of wheels available. Despite the large amount of customization wheel options, you can narrow it down by asking yourself a few important questions pertaining to decisions such as chrome or polished wheels, what size you need and will the Dodge Charger be driven daily or only on weekends?

Chrome trim also provides you with yet more outward customization options. These accessories give your vehicle a classy, luxury and perhaps more modern look. Such chrome customization options include: chrome door handles, chrome mirror covers, Chrome fender trims, Chrome fender vents, chrome tail light bezel, chrome gas door cover, Chrome plated window sill, stainless pillar post trims, chrome plated stainless rocker panel moldings, stainless rear deck trim and chrome bumper trims.

What is good for the goose is also good for the gander. So true! The Dodge Charger interior customization is just as good. The interior is perhaps where you will be spending quality time while daily commuting. It is equally good to enhance it to fit your personality. Accessories to customize your interior include stuff that improves the interior from stock, provide protection and provide maximum comfort. For example, seat covers, floor mats, leather steering wheel covers or even dash covers will help protect components such as carpet, seat, dash and steering wheel. In addition, window glass tint coupled with windshield sunshade will help keep your car real cool 24/7.

There are many other ways in which to customize your Dodge Charger with aftermarket accessories, but these will get you started in the right direction. Remember you can always make additional changes on down the line should you decide you wish to change the overall appearance of your vehicle and give it a facelift. These customization options are also easy to find and install, which makes the entire idea all that much more appealing

Custom Made Dodge Truck Seat Covers

Custom Made Dodge Truck Seat Covers

The main reason why many owners purchase Dodge truck seat covers is to protect their truck’s original upholstery from dirt and accidental spills. However there is a less obvious reason why good quality car seat covers should be considered: to slow down the wear and tear process which may go undetected for months until the colors start to fade and the fabric to thin down to a degree that is no longer acceptable.

This wear and tear is going to happen, and just cleaning the interior will not prevent it.

Nowadays truck manufacturers are increasingly rejecting claims of premature wear of the upholstery arguing that this is part of the normal process of wear and tear so complete replacement of the original seat covers may be necessary at some point in a car’s lifetime. There is where Dodge truck seat covers come in.

If you do end up making a warrantee claim, and are successful at it, you will still probably be charged for the labor on installing, and this can be very pricey.

{Keeping the upholstery long lasting and looking great seems to be a difficult task these days unless precautions are taken at an early stage by fitting heavy duty, custom made Dodge truck seat covers.|Having your original fabric staying in like new condition can be an impossible task, this is why you need Dodge truck seat covers.|To try to make your upholstery last forever is totally an impossible task, and this is where your Dodge truck seat covers come in.|Keeping the interior fabric of you truck in like new condition is almost impossible without Dodge truck seat covers .It is common for new truck owners to notice wear on their interiors upholstery in as little as a few months, and this can be very disturbing.

STARTECH GmbH, a German auto tuning company exclusively for Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep models adds up a new item on their product lineup of tuned up models.

STARTECH has created the STARSTER, a new concept model based on the Dodge Avenger mid size sedan that aims to “bridge the gap between classic old-school and modern designs”, according to the German auto tuner. The car will made its world premiere at the 2007 International Motor Show (Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung, IAA) in Frankfurt, Germany. The new STARECH STARSTER comes with a wide range of exclusive features from the German tuner starting from the front grilles up to the tail lamps, and in the interiors.

Outside, STARTECH gave the STARSTER a pearlescent ivory exterior color highlighted by matte-orange contrasts and decals on hood and rear. This represents the aggressive appearance of 1970s model of American muscle cars, according to STARTECH. Other exclusive exterior features of the STARTECH STARSTER include sporty STARSTER front apron, large air dams, stylized bumper horns, new STARTECH headlamp design with LED technology and distinctive Dodge crosshairs, and muscle car hood scoop. In addition, the STARTECH STARSTER is also equipped with striking front and rear fender flares to match the car’s wheels and tires. Complementing the fender flares include STARTECH’s polished Monostar IV five-spoke wheels measuring 9J x 22 covered with 245/30 R 22 tires in the front, and 10.5J x 22 wheels with size 295/25 R 22 tires in the rear. The rear portion of the STARTECH STARSTER comes with a redesigned styling and includes features like acrylic trunk lid molding, innovative taillight unit with LED lights, and stainless-steel sport exhaust system with integrated tail pipes.

The STARTECH STARSTER also comes with comfortable and elegant interior components to match the concept car’s sleek exterior. Interior color trims are matched with the exterior color scheme like the leather seats with sports upholstery. Even the floor of the STARTECH STARSTER is made of leather and features waffle-pattern stitching.

Now on the technical side, the STARTECH STARSTER offers a powerful 2.4-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine under its hood. This top of the line power unit is capable of pumping out 335 hp (340 PS / 250 kW) at 6,400 rpm and pulls out 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) amount of peak torque at 3,600 rpm. The engine also features variable valve timing (VVT) and coupled with a five-speed manual transmission, powering the front wheels. With this powertrain package, the STARTECH STARSTER can sprint from 0 to 62 mph in 5.6 seconds and can reach an electronically limited top speed of 165 mph (265 kph).

Other exclusive technical feats include locking differential, height-adjustable coil-over sport suspension, selectable damper settings, and STARTECH high-performance brake system. STARTECH probably retains the Dodge altezza lights and other Dodge components. Anyway, STARTECH will announce the manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of this model soon.

The New York Times to Obtain a Dodge Sprinter Plug-in Hybrid

The New York Times to Obtain a Dodge Sprinter Plug-in Hybrid

The New York Times is going to be the first on the East Coast of the United States that will receive the first medium-duty plug-in hybrid which is the first of its kind in the New York State. This is part of a commercial fleet performance demonstration and technology evaluation process that is being conducted by DaimlerChrysler.

The van which is a Dodge Sprinter plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) is going to be housed at the New York Times printing plant in College Point, Queens. The said van is going to be used to transport New York Times newspapers to The Times’ headquarters in midtown Manhattan and also to different locations in New York area. The van will also be used as a means of transport to The Times’ plant in Edison, N.J.

The Dodge Sprinter plug-in hybrid was a joint venture between DaimlerChrysler, Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), the New York Power Authority (NYPA), and Con Edison. The partnership was formed to test and assess plug-in hybrid technology in a real driving environment. DaimlerChrysler maker of Jeep vehicles and all its components like Jeep seat covers is the first automaker to test plug-in hybrid technology with the participation of customers within the United States. EPRI research and studies shows that the fleet applications provide the perfect opportunity for initial demonstrations of plug-in hybrids.

According to Tom Lombardo, Vice President, Production, The New York Times, “We are proud that The New York Times is the first major entity in the State of New York with a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle in our fleet. When we were approached by NYPA and DaimlerChrysler, we knew immediately that we wanted to be involved. We are delighted to be supporting the use of clean energy, sustainability and advances in plug-in hybrid technology.”

Randolph S. Price, Vice President for Environment, Health, and Safety, Con Edison said, “Con Edison’s research and development group recognizes the potential that hybrid plug-in electric vehicles have to make a profound impact on the environment. Electric vehicles have the potential to dramatically lessen our country’s dependence on foreign oil and to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. As the electric supplier for nine million New Yorkers, Con Edison is on the lookout for new, environmentally friendly applications for the electric grid.”

Plug-in hybrids are vehicles that can operate in all-electric or hybrid mode. They possess larger batteries compared to traditional hybrids which enable them to travel long distances by means only of electricity. The Dodge Sprinter plug-in hybrid has a battery that allows it to travel 20 miles. For short urban routes with a lot of stop-and-go driving the vehicle can function for most of the day with zero-emission. And when in hybrid mode the vehicle performs like a traditional hybrid with improved fuel economy and lower emission that is comparable to a conventional diesel or gasoline vehicle.

What child car seat will work with a small car?

Our 8 month old daughter just hit 22 pounds and can no longer use her infant carrier. She is under a year so we will need a car seat that can go from rear to forward facing.

My biggest problem is that most of the convertible car seats look way to big for my Dodge Stealth and my husbands Mustang Convertible.

Any suggestions on car seats that work well with small 2 door sports cars?

Why are my floors soaking wet?!?

For a few weeks now, I’ve noticed the floors in my car are soaking wet. It started out in just the back floor well in the driver’s side, then spread to the back passenger’s side floor well. It gets really deep, over an inch deep. I notice it more whenever it rains. Today, I noticed that it’s now spread to my front driver’s side floor.

Whatever it is, it seems to be getting worse. I’ve been brain storming as to what it could be, and it doesn’t make sense to me that it would be a leaking windshield or back windshield because none of my seats are wet nor are any of my power options or switches malfunctioning. My heater heats up very well and the blower switch works on all settings.

Also, I don’t know if it’s from the steam from the heat left over in the car whenever I shut it off hitting the cold water on the floor or what, but I am getting frost on the INSIDE of my windows. I have to heat up the car for twenty minutes before I go anywhere because I have to wait for the defrosters to clear the frost.

I have a 2001 dodge neon SRT.

Should I buy this car?

I found this ad…and I don’t know if the transmission leak is going to be a huge problem.

1993 Dodge Intrepid // Alabama Car – No Rust // Leather Seats // 150,000 Miles // Very Economical 24-26 MPG // Very Dependable – Being Driven Daily – No Problems // Power Seats, Windows, Mirrors,
Locks – Everything Works Well // Good AM-FM Radio // Good Heater but A/C not Working // Broken Glove Compartment Latch // Some Minor Scuffs & Dents // Small Transmission Leak // Clear Title
Ah, yes, I didn’t mention, it is selling for 0.
