it is not from the window that is sealed , the carpet behind the seat is wet and the water pools under the drives seat and that shorts out the power locks and heaters in seats etc. any help would be appreciated. the slights rain and it start to get wet.
This is a 97 boxter, only comes in the driver side, also is there a way to seal the box under the seat where the eletrical is for the locking system, heated seats etc can that be sealed someway?

it will need a decent amount of body work…
the paint is chipped allover, and in many places where its chipped off on the bed, the metal that can be seen looks rusty, so im not sure if he’s trying to cover up some other problems…
the interior also lacks. they put it some VERY ugly seats that look like the older volvo seats or something, there is no carpet, just a rubber floor mat, and it doesnt have a headliner.

the guy that is selling it is asking 15000 but i think that is far too much considering all the work that it will need, and the fact that he might have just painted over everything to cover up some of the problems with the body.

what do you think it’s worth?

I am having trouble finding a mirror that will stay put in the backseat of my car so I can see my baby in her rear facing car seat.
I bought one but it has a strap that is supposed to keep it up-right, the problem is this strap is supposed to connect to something on the rear deck (under the rear window)and I don’t have anythig for it to connect to.
I have tried velcro hooks, but they don’t stay put because the rear deck is covered with carpet.
The car is a 1991 Toyota Corolla.
If anyone has had this same problem or has a suggestion it would be very much appreciated

So I took my 6 month old son to the Dr earlier this week and they said he doesn’t weigh enough. He weighed 14 lbs. and his birthweight was a few ounces shy of 8 lbs. (they said the same crap about my daughter and it was terrible the things they made me try with her…vegetable oil in her bottle??!! ICK!!)
Anyway…I’m going to follow what the doc says, that he needs to be eating more solid foods and fewer bottles. Therein lies the problem…

Me, my carpet, his baby seat, EVERYTHING is covered in baby food. I’m about to go crazy. I understand he has to learn to eat, but there’s GOT to be a way to feed him so that we don’t have to bathe everytime he eats. Like I have time to feed him, bathe him, take care of my husband and 5 yr old daughter PLUS clean the carpets daily.
I don’t have a high chair, and can’t really afford one at this time, so I feed him in this play chair thing because he can sit up well in it. Well…it’s disgusting too so I have to take it to the carwash
to clean it every few days. Can anyone offer any pointers on less messy feeding?? Please, before I lose my cool! =)
I swear it’s not a fake question. I wouldn’t waste my or your time. Maybe I’m just messy…lol.
oh, and I am feeding him myself. I’m not that smart, but I know he’s too little to try to get a spoon in his own mouth. ha ha. Maybe it’s the putting too much on the spoon thing, because most of the mess comes from what’s in his mouth that he spits out and he also has a terrible habit of blowing raspberries while eating. Then I get a face full of whatever muck he’s eating at the moment.

I have spent the last few months working on the engine and other parts now im going to be working on the interior.
Just after ideas as for what colour seats, carpet, etc.
The car is going to be sprayed black as its an easier colour to do so any ideas on colour of interior?
I haven’t done this before thats why I need some help. Any ideas or tips on what to do with it would be greatly appreciated.
The carpets and seat covers etc have been ripped out so im starting from scratch.

I flipped my 2001 dodge neon into a swampy ditch and the seats and carpeting, headliner, etc. were all covered with water and silt. I have removed everything from the car (seats, carpet, headliner, trunk carpet, all trim) and I was wondering what would be a good way to get the smell and stains out of the seats. Also, I know that professional water damage repair shops use a disinfecting steam on the interior after it is stripped and I was wondering if there is any way to do something like that at home? Thanks for your help!

OK, I drove my wife to work this morning so I could use her truck. She didn’t know it but me and my pal Rusty went deer hunting today. It’s not exactly deer season but we know where a bunch of deer live by the river where we fish so we just drove on out there and sure enough there was a big old doe there eating grass by the boat launch so Rusty takes out his 30.06 and drops her like a bag of hammers! We were celebrating with a few beers when we got to thinking what if a game warden is waiting to check out truck when we leave? So instead of putting the deer in the bed of the truck we just stuffed her on the floor in the back seat (its a big 2008 Dodge crew cab truck). Then we just covered her all up with our coats and stuff and drove on home. Well, when we get to Rusty’s house and pull out the deer we see that it bled all over the back seat and carpet. Like gallons of it. Now what do I do? I tried washing it out with Dawn and a garden hose but the floor was filling up with water. So I grabbed a big hole-punch and a hammer and knocked a bunch of holes in the floor so the bloody water would drain out. Now its soaking wet and smelly and all stained with blood. One of her friends dropped her off after work so she ain’t seen the truck yet. She’s normally pretty laid back cause she knows how I am and all but she’s nuts about her truck. Do you think she’ll go postal when she finds out? Should I just spend the night at Rusty’s tonight?

Water was standing under the passenger seat. I completely dried off the water under the passenger seat, but the next day, the carpet directly under the front passenger seat (BETWEEN the TWO SEAT RAILS) got wet again and is slowly getting more wet. It is NOT the heater core and it is NOT the coolant. This happened after my front fender bender fell off in a crash. Is there any water/chemical/etc pipes running under the front passenger seat that could have been punctured? thx.

What it is is about 3/4 of a chocolate malt spilled on the carpet next to the cup holder. It is hard now but could probably be scraped up a little. What can I use to remove it? Boiling water? A certain car cleaning product? Something else? There is also some in the cup holder so any advice for that would be helpful. It is a 1997 Dodge Neon.

(If you are wondering why I left it for so long it’s because it spilled in a car accident, and the car was taken away and I had no chance to get to it until it was repaired (now) and the night of the accident I couldn’t get to it because there was shattered glass covering the seats and floor and I was kind of busy with the police and accident report and stuff, just so you guys don’t think I’m lazy and just left it there for two months.)

I have a ’97 Dodge stratus thats in really good condition. The inside is really nice the only problem is that the speakers in the back seat are completely covered. Is there anyways I can cut threw the carpet and such and just buy the screen/cover part where the music comes out. They’re good speakers but you cant hear them that well since they’re covered. Also I wouldn’t be doing this my brother would be, just figured I’d get peoples opinions since he just wants me to replace the whole thing. Help?
