What car seats are acceptable for air travel?

I will be traveling from NM to TN with a transfer in Denver in June with my 2yr old. I have already gotten the tickets through Frontier Airlines. He will have his own seat and I know he will have to use a car seat. There are certain car seats that are acceptable and I just need to know if the one I just ordered for him is or not. It is: Evenflo – Chase Booster Car Seat, Winchester Style. If any one has a site to recommend or personal experience, please let me know. Please and thank you.

I hope this doesn’t sound stupid or anything. But I heard or read somewhere that you shouldn’t a car-seat that is 5 or more years old? I was just wondering if I was going to have to buy a new infant carrier, as my daughters will be 5 when this baby is born, and I also used it with my niece. So do I need to buy a new one?
It is a Graco infant carrier, it is 5 point harness, never been an any accidents, and also one has just been sitting in the basement for the past 3 1/2 or so years.

But it sounds like a new one is probably the safest bet.

How do you remove odor from sheepskin car seat covers that have been dry cleaned?

Recently we had our sheepskin car seat covers cleaned by the dry cleaners. Now, a week later, after hanging outside undercover in the breeze to air out, they still smell foul. Not a dry cleaning smell by any means, just a terrible odor!

Thanks to all, but tried a product called FEBREZE…it’s a spray for cleaning odors on fabrics. It works an absolute treat! It was the dry cleaning, but just the smell coming off of the sheepskin after being drycleaned!

We had to take our back car seat out of the car the other day, of course it rained while the seat was in our back yard. It’s not leather, but that regular "car fabric". We tried blow driers but that won’t work. We need the car seat dry by tonight, because we’re going on a road trip. Any suggestions?
