The removal truck pulled up outside of Shontelle’s old flat. The flat itself was very small, vandalized and grotty, this was one of the reasons Shontelle’s foster mum had decided to move. Other reasons included – Shontelle was getting bullied, there was no decent work in the area and her foster mum had been accepted for a new job in Ohio.
“Are you sure you don’t want to say goodbye to anybody in your class?” asked Shontelle’s foster mum, Berry.
“No.” replied Shontelle, before climbing into the back seat of their car.
Berry sighed, “Ok you know where these are going? We’ll follow behind.”
“Yes ma’am.” puffed the removal worker.
Berry shut the car door and started the engine.
“Look, Shontelle, I’m trying my best.”
“Thats what you always say Berry! I just want to have a normal life for once.” Debated Shontelle whilst turning to the side window.
“Its not my fault you got into that fight, and smashed Old Man Jenkins window. Perhaps at school it wasn’t all your fault, thats why were moving. This move doesn’t benefit me apart from a new job.” explained berry sympathetically.
The forgiving sunlight then kissed over the car, and the white florescence of Shontelle’s porcelain skin reflected on to the car roof. Just below her wrist lay an old but unforgettable scar which was one of the many injuries her real parents had cursed her with. With great softness, Berry pulled down Shontelles sleeves to cover the scar.
“I will never, ever do anything like that to you, Berry.”
“I know. But others have.”

Ok, so i recently discovered the soft top hardware for my jeep is in really bad condition and its gonna need new hardware. i thought that if i were to get a windjammer or tonneau cover type of a top i wouldnt need the factory hardware for the soft top. But…..i dont wanna remove the back seat. Can i Just fold it down for any top like i’m talking about??? Some even said about the tops working with the factory soft top bow assembly. I was confused upon that as well b/c i didnt think i used the hardware on these kinds of tops; or is this something else?
Here are some of the pictures i was looking at and i read all the stuff about them but i still wasnt sure about much.

Dog whines when going for rides in my truck, How do I fix?

So me and my wife have a 2 years old Min Pin we adopted from an rescued animal shelter. We have had her for over a year, and it’s been hard training but things are working out.

The one problem I’m stumped in fixing is when we drive anywhere and take our dog with us (she has separation anxeity from an abusive last owner locking her in a closet for 8 to 12 hours a day), she whines through out the trip.

To remedy this I tried the following.

1) I thought maybe she was uncomfortable in the back seat cab of the truck. So I built a custom car crate for my dog to be secure and comfy. Basically I extended the center arm rest. Lined the outside with factor Carpet, the inside is memory foam covered in velvet, leather head rest, blanket and leather trim. It’s basically a elevated box that the dog fits into and can see the road too.

Didn’t whine at first couple of weeks, then she started whining again.

2) Thought maybe the Muffler was too load, so I swapped out my Flowmaster 50 series with a ultra silent muffler and sound proofed the interor.

STILL FREAKING WHINES.

3) Thought maybe she just wants attention. I lean my seat back the entire 45 minute drive (when I’m in the passenger seat and play with the dog.

STILL WHINES!!!

Now I’m Ticked! I have had other dogs in my truck with no problem and I’m at a loss to figure out what her problem is. I trying telling her "NO!" when she starts to whine. That doesn’t do crap. I have tried treats. No go!

If you are wondering why don’t I leave her at home. It’s mostly her separation anxeity. I have worked her up to 4 hours before she freaks out. I have webcams setup at home to monitor when I’m away and check up on her.

The only time we travel is stay with the in laws or go the store and it will be longer than 4 hours.

She has peed and pooped before going on any trip, and get a treat at the end of the trip just to make it seem like trips aren’t a bad thing.

I’m just frustrated..Any thoughts?
NO EAR PLUGS..though I have put in a powerful speaker system (and I feel guilty about this) do crank up the music lately to drown out the whining. But I don’t want to rely on that.

My Min Pin is generally a very laid back and quiet dog, except around strangers where she goes ballsitic. That’s why I’m confused. Everything is familiar and its really out of her character.
Funny thing is when I tell my dog "TRUCK" she is all fired up and happy…then after 10 minutes of driving. the Whining starts.
I have tried ignoring her for the entire trip and saying "bad girl" when she starts to whine" Does nothing to solve it.

For me, driving in my truck and listening to music is a very relaxing activity for me, and with the dog in the truck, it’s like scratching on a chalkboard. It’s a soft whine, and when the music goes soft..you can hear her.
WAIT..WHATS THIS TRAVEL DROPS you guys keep mentioning? I’ll buy a case load at this point!

Is it safe to put a baby car seat in a Jeep TJ?

Hello eveyone! I’m just wondering if anybody can help me out. I am currently 5 months pregnant and I’m expecting my baby in July. I have a 1997 Jeep TJ and was wondering if anyone knows it is a safe vehicle to drive with a small rear facing infant car seat? The reason I ask is that the back seat of a Jeep Wrangler is a little more narrow then that of a car, also the back seats sit so high up that there is no metal protecting the baby since the window starts right about where the seat is… Anyways if someone knows anything about this or knows where I could find the info I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
I woulnd’t take the roof off, and I have a fiber glass hard top on it right now.

01 Mitsubishi Eclipse water in car problems?

Okay, so I have water on the driver side and back seat floor boards and also in the trunk of the car. Can anyone help me find where the heck it’s coming from….anyone? I’ve already heard of the heater core not draining A/C water properly but any help on how to fix that would be great! As for the trunk. I have no idea how the heck water is getting in there. I doubt it’s the A/C.

Is it okay for a car seat to be in the front seat of a truck?

My fiance and I are moving back to New Jersey. And we need to rent a moving truck. But we have a 3 month old son that still sits in an infant car seat. My mother told me it’s illegal for a baby to be in the front seat. But I’ve heard from one other person that it’s okay, as long as there isn’t a back seat available. And a moving van isn’t big enough for all of our stuff.

What kind of convertable car seat will fit in a 2001 Jetta?

The back seat of the Jetta is tiny, but my car is paid off, so I’m desperate to find a convertable car seat that will fit. Thank you!

How to shorten down my story? 10 Points?

The removal truck pulled up outside of Shontelle’s old flat. The flat itself was very small, vandalized and grotty, but these were only surface reasons for why her foster mum decided to move. The deeper reasons behind the move came from personal struggles. Shontelle was getting bulied by other kids, and after searching and failing to find jobs in the area, her foster mom was accepted to a decent job in Ohio
Berry shut the car door behind her and started the engine.
Just below her wrist lay an old but unforgettable scar which happpened to be one of the many injuries her real parents had cursed her with. With great softness, Berry pulled down her sleeve to cover the scar.
“I will never, ever do anything like that to you, Berry.”
After the long journey from Indiana to Ohio, the delivery truck swiftly pulled in and parked up on the pavement, followed by the families red car. With a sigh of relief, Berry raised her head so she was facing the car roof, and shut her eyes.
“MEEEEEEEEEEEEEP” roared the truck, with just a slight accidental nudge of the horn.
“AAAAH!” she screeched, banging her head of the fabricated roof.
Shontelle awoke with a startled jump, and a slight high pitched squeal.
“Oh well, better go see how the unloading is going” began berry, before realizing Shontelle was too in the car, “So .. Wanna’ see your new room, hunny?”
“Okayy..” she yawned.
******
The next morning, Shontelle was quite aware of her surroundings, and enjoyed their little house. It was slightly bigger than their old flat, but wasn’t modern at all. The carpet was ratted at the edges, and had various stains which were hard to identify.
By 8 am, she had already finished her breakfast and began the short trek to the bus stop from which the bus collected local students. She was going to Greenville High, and thought this would be an ideal time to make some new friends.
The bus stop was now only a few meters away from her, but she stopped in shock at the other kids. They were pushing and kicking each other, and shouting abuse from either side of the shelter. Most were either gothic or scene, and were blasting heavy metal tunes from their phones. There must of been twenty-or-so kids in the village, which was very small but welcoming. Despite the attitude of the respected shop owners and neighbors, Shontelle felt sick with fear at the teenagers.
“Oi!” Shouted a chav from the bus stop, “Come ‘Ere!”
“Oh god, oh god.” muttered Shontelle under her breath before slowly pacing towards the bus stop, pulling her bag over her shoulder ready to defend herself with.
The ring leader of the group raised to a full stance, examining Shontelle.
“So .. your the new Tim, eh?” she asked.
“Uhmm .. what?” she woundered.
“Tim.” she acknowledged, turning to the group.
A tough looking kid swayed beside her, “Tim was a legand! Only person ‘managed to live the tale of jumping off the clock tower!”
“yeah!” agreed the varied group of people.
“well .. I guess so?” admitted Shontelle, still confused.
“Courtney” addressed the girl, stretching out her hand towards Shontelle.
“Oh!” giggled Shontelle, reaching out her hand to shake Courtney’s, “Shontelle.”
“No. Stupid. Lunch money.”
“Uhm … I’m going home for lunch today, It’s my first day an’all.” She Lied.
The school bus then pulled up, saving Shontelle from perhaps a very messy scene.
“Well, Tomorrow” explained Courtney, before climbing onto the bus.

Is it illegal to use a car seat in a single cab pickup?

I’m not positive but I think it’s illegal to install an infant car seat in the front seat. So if the vehicle doesn’t have a back seat, is it illegal to use it? If it makes a difference I live in Minnesota, the truck is a 98 Silverado, no airbags that I know of. Anyone know?
