So Joe Wilson was Wrong. the GOP Angry at him. Now He Must Resign?
Joe Wilson was the one who lied last night, Obama’s Health Care plan does not cover illegal immigrants.
The GOP in and outside South Carolina are angry, Joe Wilson was already behind in the polls in his 2010 campaign against a powerful Democratic opponent.
Angry emails from his constituents calling for his resignation has crashed his Congressional website.
Should he resign, so the GOP can put a more viable candidate in his place to try and keep his seat in Congress?

No Joe Wilson was RIGHT
HR 3200 contains no mechanism requiring people to PROVE they are US citizens.
It just states in section 246 that illegals will not be covered by Subtitle C. There is no provision for requiring birth certificate or US passport or other proof of citizenship.

If "Obama’s health care plan" will not cover illegal immigrants, why did the Democrats kill ammendments that would close the loopholes allowing them to be covered? To answer your question… I think that Mr Wilson should reign in his anger and keep fighting for the truth and health care reform that will make a difference. He was wrong to voice himself at that time, he apologized for his outburst, end of story.

Obama’s lie is that his plan has no mechanism to keep illegals out of the taxpayer funded system. You can bet, if it is implemented illegals will use, abuse and plain wear the system down. It’s a stone cold fact. Wilson didn’t lie.

All the name calling that was done on the Congressional floor against Bush never got anyone fired, so no, I see no reason Wilson should resign.
Wilson was correct in that illegals WILL benefit by the current health care reform (why else was an amendment proposed expressly requiring that citizenship status be checked before determining eligibility get shot down?). But Wilson should not have yelled out during the speech itself. We should respect the office… if not the man.
HOWEVER, the main reason the GOP is upset with Wilson is that he has become the story about last night… instead of the speech. There was PLENTY to criticize about the lies and name-calling that Obama included in his speech. But all anyone is talking about is Wilson. His actions have detracted from the real story.

Shows complete lack of respect by the congressman. Same type of outrages shown at town meetings conducted by Democrats but not towards Republicans. Mostly likely got text message from Rush to yell out.
