I started writing this novel and I think it’s pretty good, but I’m biased. It’s about a guy who loses a full day of his life. Then he starts having dreams. Then life starts getting weird, like he throws up every time he eats. After a while, he learns he’s been made into a vampire. He must learn to cope, and fight off the bad guys that are trying to kill him. What do you think?

Chapter 1
Beautiful stars covered the night sky, looking like a giant had spilled glowing, white marbles across a huge black blanket.
My favorite view in the world was standing beneath the cosmos, staring into the stars. It helped me concentrate, centering my energy inwardly. After I’d become completely calm, I pushed my mind out into the environment, sending my sense on a search. My entire body became a machine, a machine that was looking for something to eat.
Hidden in the forest were many things that could provide me with nourishment. A owl feasting on a rat. A family of brown rabbits. A doe holding her fawn to her breast as they slept, almost as if she knew a predator was hunting tonight.
There.
On the opposite side of the forest, a car, a black Honda, was following the one two-lane street. Inside was a man and a woman, both filled with vibrant, warm, life-giving fluid. There were a mile away from passing the first tree of the woods, two miles from where I stood.
I can make it, I thought.
Without conscious thought, my body crouched into position, ready to spring. My vision became even sharper, becoming the eyes of a hunter. The thirst in my throat swiftly grew, becoming the only thought in my mind.
My crouched legs, still with a mind of there own, flew into the woods, dodging trees without effort. As I ran, the edges of my vision blurred red, the anticipation and need for blood taking over my entire being.
Fifty seconds later, I was on the other end of the forest, waiting for my meal to come to me. I hopped into the tree closest to the road. For the second time that night, I centered myself, letting my thirst-sharpened senses take over. I could hear the car’s tires crunching over the gravel, only half a mile out now. I continued sitting in the branches that hung over the blacktop until the car was one foot from me.
Now, the second voice in my head said.
I leapt from my tedious position on the branch, heading for the car. My feet landed perfectly in the center of the Honda’s hood, touching down in a perfect crouch, denting in the hood. The driver swerved, thoroughly shocked at my sudden appearance.
“Boo,” I hissed, giving both of the car’s occupants a good look at the inch-long canine teeth in my mouth.
The blonde woman in the passenger’s seat screamed.
I lunged forward, smashing through the glass, landing on the driver—a brown-haired, muscular man—trying to eliminate the bigger threat first. My teeth pierced into the artery on the left side of his neck, making his blood flow into my mouth, down my throat, easing the burn and the thirst.
The blonde woman started screaming. I stopped draining the man and hurled myself over to her. Once again my teeth pierced skin. When she felt the pain, the woman began screaming louder, short piercing bursts of sound.

My eyes fluttered open, the alarm clock next to my bed forcing me out of my dreaming state. I slammed my hand down on the beeping device.
What a weird dream, I thought, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes. Stretching, I slid out of bed, walking past the window. I threw the curtains open, and then slightly regretted it. The light burned my eyes, making me rub them more furiously.
I looked down at the computer desk that sat down right in front of the window. I clicked the mouse a couple times, waking the monitor. When the screen flashed on, showing the Boys Like Girls wallpaper, I clicked open the one icon on the desktop, an instant link to a document: my journal.
I quickly scanned over the previous entries, reminding myself of the craziness my life had become.

I can’t remember yesterday. I keep trying to, but I keep ending up with the same result: nothing. I just want to know what happened.
I had a dream last night. Scared the hell out of me. It started out normal, I was at school, talking to Olivia and Drake, but then it changed. Suddenly I was on top of Olivia, my mouth on her neck. Blood dripped from the spot on her neck where my mouth was. Drake just sat there, watching us, biting into his peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Of course, the jelly was strawberry. Some of it fell from the edge where he’d just taken a bite, falling to the side of his mouth. It looked like the blood that was dripping from my own mouth when I took it off of Olivia’s neck.

Still can’t remember.
God, why can’t I remember that damn day? It’s been driving me insane. It’s all I can think about!!
I had another dream last night. It was the same one as yesterday, except this time I didn’t stop with Olivia. I kil
To answer some of the questions about this, the chapter is longer, but this is all I could post on Answers (too long). Also, he is not yet a vampire. He was bitten (although he doesn’t know that) and is slowly going through the change.
