		<description>That hasn&#039;t occurred to me.  My husband is a environmental scientist and certified industrial hygienist and I doubt it has occurred to him either!  Thanks for posting that.  It&#039;s a good thought.  I think our mats are due for a change... I&#039;ll have my husband test the indoor air quality of the car while we&#039;re at it just to check!  I&#039;m curious now.</description>

		<description>We live in Texas so we don&#039;t get much snow (if any at all).  But we do sometimes get freezing rain.  We just let our car air out and take out the mats and air dry them once or twice a week when needed.

But that is something to think about if you live up North where it snows.  Keeping the heater off is not really a plausible option given the freezing temperatures though (I&#039;ve lived in Alaska and Kansas, so I know cold and I know heaters are a must).

I&#039;d suggest getting plastic covers for the mats or switching to plastic mats with towels you can replace often.</description>
