New car or used luxury cars with my budget?
I am trying to decide if I should go with buying a new car or a used luxury. If I decide on a new car, this will be my first new car ever.
I’ve been saving money till now and my budget is set at 25k. I went to a toyota dealer and got a deal for new 2008 toyota camry LE for ,300 which includes all fees (destination, tax, dmv, etc) I double confirmed that this is the final walk out price, and he literally said "not a dime more.".
The options includes sunroof and leather seats (the leather on the seats are not from the factory. they will just put a leather cover over the existing seats, but to bare eyes you don’t see the difference).
I realize that this is a good deal, but at the same time I also want to look into getting a 2-3 years used japanese luxury cars with low milage. I am thinking maybe a 2005 Lexus GS, or Infinity G35, with less then 35k miles on it. (cont.)
My friend’s close friend is a dealer and he said he should be able to get me those class cars at my budget.
So I have everything laid out on the table, and I’m trying to decide whether I should just go with a camry or luxury. I really want a luxury car, but getting a new car has its own benefits also.

I just got a 2008 G35 totalled , & i’m in the same situation ,
G35 is definitely a great car , Now my budger us 25 K , I’m thinking whether to go with a new Accord or a used G35 ..
If you want go for a used G35 , just go for a 1-3 years old ones .
This is my opinion….. Get the brand new Camry with the warranty…. Heres why I feel this way. I have 3 good friends and they always buy the 3 year old off lease luxury cars at fair prices. (They have huge egos)…. I cant tell you how many times I have heard/seen them complain about repairs. My buddy Alex had the fly by wire accelerator control circuit go bad on his Mercedes, dealer wouldnt warrany it and it cost him $1200 for a repair. Then another pal had the control arms go bad on his Audi A8 with only 30000 miles on it and sure enough the dealer wormed out of the warranty repairs…… Every 2 years in and out they buy these overpriced ego massagers and get there wallets cleaned out when they need a repair, doesnt matter what brand, Lexus, Beemers, Mercedes…… In the car business we call these high priced junk… Get the Camry, keep it well maintained, play whatever game the dealer wants so your warranty stays active. In nice shape Camrys get a good trade in price or sell it outright and use the cash for a new one…….. Ask yourself whats the real reason for the high priced looking car?? To look cool?, seem more successful?, get a different class of ladyfriend?? what??….. Remember the car doesnt make the man…….. Hope this helps!
