My Dodge Neon has stained seats — WHY??
I have a 2003 Dodge Neon, which I bought new. It has black cloth interior. I have never spilled anything on these seats, but they look like an orgy took place in there. White stains all over the seats. It’s disgusting. I’ve tried shampooing and it removed some of the stains, but not many. The driver’s side is the worst, but it is starting on the passenger side now. What’s noteworthy is that in the past 2 years I’ve gotten married and obtained a dog, so there is more passenger time in my car than ever before. I have no kids. Also, the car has not been garage kept so the sun could be effecting the fabric. Any ideas? In the meantime, I’m buying seat covers after the holidays.

If you have an uncut (not neutered) male dog he is probably responsible for the stains and I’ll give you one guess as to the source. My wife breeds Chihuahuas and the Alpha male is always leaving white stains on the door panel of our trucks when he looks out the window. And dogs have a tendency to look out the driver’s window since that is the door you used when you exited. The stain washes off our vinyl door panels fairly easily, sorry I can’t offer any cleaning tips, but I think seat covers are an excellent idea as long as the dog is going for rides with you and if he’s like my wife’s dog he loves to go for rides!

take it to a detail shop and have it cleaned they use a small steam cleaner that will remove the spots, most of the time their called sweat spots, black will do that ,if you own a small cleaner it should remove them, all detail shops now though have these and can remove the stains, and it will look new again, once you get it cleaned by some fabric guard and spray it on them that will stop them from doing this again, good luck on it.
