I have been having a strange sensation lately. Whenever I sit down, the back of my upper lift thigh (where it?
touches the seat) feels very warm — as if I had sat on a spot where the heater vent was blowing. It is in no way painful, it’s just ‘interesting’. Any idea what could account for that?

It sounds like you may either be rubing the sciatic nerve or possibly constricting the flow of blood (though not enough to cause numbness) to where instead of pain youmight feel warmth instead

Get a good massage, but I mean from someone that knows the profession. It sounds like you’ve barely pinched a nerve, so do the massage therapy for as long as it’s necessary, and it’ll go away. If left untreated it will come back, worse, and with worse symptoms.
A good chiropractor could also do the job. "Shop" around for a good one, not just anyone, okay?

Sciatic nerve, most likely; not serious, you might want to check with a doctor in case it could get worse. You do NOT want sciatic nerve pain, believe me.

Looks like we all agree that its sciatic nerve problem. When I began experienceing similar pain years ago, I ignored it until it became un-ignorable! The ‘pinch’ can actually be from your lower back, but you feel the sensation in your thigh, leg, knee or rear end. Mine is usually in my rear.
I discovered I have degenerative disc disease and ended up having back surgery in 1995.
Here is another plea from your Y!A friends that love you and care about you…have it checked out, please
