I have a Ford Windstar GL '96, and the heat only blow out of the window vent and the rear vent. ?
The vent on my dashboard does not blow out the heater fully. The heat does not come out force like the other vents. The vent that at the bottom on the dashboard works very well. The rear vents (behind the driver and Passenger seat) works well. I don’t know why the vent on the dashboard is not letting the air out easily.

This is a common problem on Fords (it happened in my Lincoln). It is most likely the blender door. Over time, the parts just stop working and won’t change the airflow to the desired vents. If you’re somewhat handy, it is an item that you can fix yourself in an afternoon.

Nathan you were close! the problem is they added that the rear vent was doing this too, ah hah the answer is —— the vacuum system is disconected to the heater system! how do I know this right? because the us government desided many years ago that in the event that a car/truck etc should have a mechanical issue happen to a heater system that the system should at minimum have a defroster because they dont care about your creature comfort they care that if your driving down the road you can see ahaid! hense all the system is spring loaded to go to a defrost mode. many of you may have old cars that after setting a few weeks start the car and hear strang sounds under the dash while warming them up. this is the vacuum building enough to override the springs closing the blend doors
