i have a 1997 jimmy and sometimes the heater will stop then if you run it and shut it off it starts again?
i just started having this problem i had a friend using the cell phone facing it towards the front seat dialing in numbers then my heater stopped an shut down after i shut it off then it started again i already disconnected the plus cable just in case it was the computer but it still does it off and on anyone know whats going on no money to fix a big problem

your heater core might be goin out does it blow hot when its on or just warm also does it smell like antifreeze?

get a new heatermoter, it probably has a dead spot in it
check the heater relay fuse/plug sometimes the are under the dash also could be under hood.
