How to clean 2-month-old spilled ice cream stain in car?
What it is is about 3/4 of a chocolate malt spilled on the carpet next to the cup holder. It is hard now but could probably be scraped up a little. What can I use to remove it? Boiling water? A certain car cleaning product? Something else? There is also some in the cup holder so any advice for that would be helpful. It is a 1997 Dodge Neon.
(If you are wondering why I left it for so long it’s because it spilled in a car accident, and the car was taken away and I had no chance to get to it until it was repaired (now) and the night of the accident I couldn’t get to it because there was shattered glass covering the seats and floor and I was kind of busy with the police and accident report and stuff, just so you guys don’t think I’m lazy and just left it there for two months.)
Any advice would really help! Thanks!

Good ol soap & water is best. Many car wipes use harsh chemicals which isn’t good for your car’s interior.

i would start by scraping off any that you can. then i would try warm water and that should get almost all of it off. if need be you can also use maybe some sort of chemical. i might use windex.. sounds silly but it works wonders.. or 409 or some sort of kitchen cleaner. just be careful it doesnt have bleach or it will bleach the interior. it shouldnt be hard to get it up.. its not really something that stains that much. good luck!

i would try hot water with washing powder and a really good brush. you can all so buy good cleaning products in car shops

Believe me I have had more than my share of spills and stains in my truck so what I would do would be …
1. Scrape what you can up
2. Spray some hairspray from a aerosol can onto it and blot what you can up with a towel.
3. Mix 1 cup of lemon juice with some boiling water and pour over it and let it sit for about 10 minutes.
4. Finally rub with a towel.
This trick as gotten MANY stains out of my carpet in my house and truck!
Good Luck!
