How much would a paint job be for a 1978 ford fairmont?
It’s my first car & it’s not that bad.
Basically my parents said that since it wasn’t way expensive they would let me do some stuff to it.
So I was wondering-
How much would a paint job be for a 1978 ford fairmont two door?
I’m thinking about getting it pink or purple or red…
It runs totally fine it doesn’t have AC and the inside seats kind of are cracking and there isn’t a radio-
But I’ll just roll the windows down-
And get seat covers,
And put in a radio/CD system all easy fixers right?
How much do you think it would cost me to do all that and get a paint job?
Haahaa probably too much,
I’ll probably just get all that other crap later.

I think Maaco (national car paint chain) still has a $300-ish basic paint job, and seat covers/radios, etc start at $30 and go to thousands. For a 1st time fixerupper, I think you don’t wanna go over $500 total, yip?

you can go for a cheap maco paint job, but if you are changing the color I wouldn’t advise it. they don’t paint inside the door jams, etc. and they use low quality paint that won’t last.
any paint job for less than $2000 is probably not worth it as the car will look worse than it does now when the paint starts flaking off.

Some people are car snobs, just ignor them.
A paid for car is the best care. Even if it is not best paint job possible it will do the job. and if you live some place that gets hot just get one of those car fans that mount on the dash. They work good, get one.
If the carpet is all worn and dirty, just "find" some house carpet to match your new paint. you can lay it in and cut it to fit yourself with a utility knife. >>>> New paint, seat covers, carpet, tunes & you be stylin !! But, purple is for pop cicles and dinasours. not cars.
