Well, the 10" Bostons only require .5cubic feet per sub, so they would drop REAL LOW. If you go them, you'd have to be VERY careful on how much power you give them. When subs are in enclosures that're too large, they move a lot further, so power handling must be reduced.

The Bostons will go real low, sounding great the whole way, and the TypeR's will sound okay.

My vote is still for the Boston Acoustics. I'm partial to them since I got my G51044 with GTR.

go with the alpine and the seat should not affect your sound at all.

I've already gone through this whole scenario before so relax! Go with Memphis audio. This is the only ten i've yet to blow. I blown every other kind you can think of. Since they are facing the rear of the cab, under the seat, they get extremely hot, an tend to blow(voice coils burning). So if you want a choice between the two you listed, go with Alpine. Two reasons, it lasted longer than the than the B.A. An second it didnt sound so bad after it was blown. Hook a fan up to circulate air under your seat, an for your amp too. However I've had my memphis 10's for two years now, an no probs or complaints. I listen to a lot a screw, an slab.

I personally think the Boston's sound better for SQ. That is the thing about sound though, everyone has their own taste about what they think sounds good. That is why the best advice is to see if you can hear the equipment before you buy it. That is not always easy to do but sometimes it is going to pay off. You should also take into consideration that it won't sound exactly the same as when it is in your car/truck so you don't want to bass too much on that.

Erck, I wouldn't brag about blowing every sub you've had. That means that you have either setup systems that overpower the sub or you have not set your gain properly.
