Heard about the cruise control recall on Ford trucks?
There has been a recall on the cruise control switch on Ford trucks. It seems that some brake fluid can leak into the cruise control switch causing it to over heat and causing a fire. There has already been a three different people that have died of the fire. My Expedition was taken to the dealer and they have supposedly fixed it, but now my vehicle won’t start. Anybody with a similar situation?

i’m a ford tech and the recall your talking about, would have nothing to do with it not starting>>

The FSA (Field Service Action) 05S28 that was carried out on your Expedition takes all of five minutes to perform. All it involves is installing a FUSED jumper wiring harness between the speed control disable switch and the electrical connector itself. If the switch had shown leakage, it too would’ve been replaced. Your vehicle not starting has absolutely NOTHING to do with what was done to your vehicle, since nothing in the main electrical system is touched for this campaign.
