ford focus head rest?
I want to remove the front head rest to install a seat cover. (yes, they will be put back in) Can anyone help? I push the button to extend the head rest, but they lock in place at the full length and do not seem to want to release

Most times there is a small hole on the plastic peice that the heads go in and out of. This hole is big enough to put a small nail or paperclip in. Doing so and pressing firmly, will trigger the release switch. You might have to press in on that, and the regular button (for going up and down) at the same time, and have a 2nd person pull up on the headrest.
