1993 Mercury Tracer/Escort heater problem?

Recently, I turned on my 1993 Mercury Tracer and after about five seconds of heat, the heat stopped coming out of the vents.

The first thing I checked was the driver’s seat fuse box and sure enough, on the fuse box cover schematic, there is a location for the 30A heater fuse, but when I look at the actual fuse box, there is no such fuse in the area it denotes.

On the schematic there are 4 rows with 5 columns on the bottom three rows. the top row only has one fuse which is all the way on the right and is the heater fuse but there is no top row in the actual fuse box.

I have checked the engine fuse box and there is no heater fuse in there. I also thought that the problem might be the heater motor but the fact that there is actually a heater fuse is puzzling. Does anybody have any insight to this problem?

Chevrolet Suburban Seat Heaters not working.?

Both of my leather seats in the front are operational without a problem. When I press the seat warmers on (either side), the light blinks on for a moment then goes out. I can hear a click sound coming from the driver side (window console). Is anyone having the same problem or have had any luck fixing the problem

How the heck can I get that high mount cover off? I’ve tried everything in the owner’s manual re: pushing down and pulling cover from the back seat AND I’ve tried accessing from underneath in the trunk. Nothing works to date.

I know it’s something simple but I can’t get that blasted plastic cover off & I simply want to replace the bulb. THANKS!

Blood and HIV Infection…?

Hey guys have a quick question for you. I recently went and had my car detailed, with the cloth seats getting shampooed and steamed, when I noticed that an employee who was working in the interior was bleeding from the lip a little bit. Another had a scrap on his elbow. It looked like it could have been bleeding a little bit too. They were climbing around vacuuming and washing the upholstery.

Here is my question and concern. If they got any blood in my car, especially the wet cloth, and that blood was HIV positive, and let’s asssume it was for the sake of argument, is it possible for the HIV virus to live in the wet cloth?

They gave me my car back and the seats were still pretty wet, and after placing a plastic sheet over my driver’s seat the told me to run the heater for about 20 minutes and park in the sun. I now feel like my car might have blood in it, HIV and Hep C + blood in it no less.

Please help, I am freaking out!

Sorry if this is really long, I just have a lot of evidence and stuff. xD

Okay, well I’m in eighth grade and I really like this guy named Conner. I have all my majors with him, and lunch. Well in Social Studies we sit next to each other. Well he always elbows my arm so I mees up what I’m writing, and whenever our arms or legs touch he doesn’t pull away. He always talks to me and makes me laugh…
Well after that I have Science and I sit in the back in the same row as him. Well I always catch him staring at me and n friday we were working with laptops and he came over to my seat and just sat on the heater and talked to me and my friend. Then I was playing with thespace barr and it shocked me, so Connertriedd. It was really funny.

Okay, last one. Well on Tuesdays andThursdayss I go to thisSocial Studies program so I can get amazing scores on my state test. Well Conner goes also and he sits next to his friends. Well the bell rang and I left in the opposite direction and he was with his friends. He turned his head and saw me walking away alone, so he said ‘I’ll catch up with you guys later’ and he started following me and talking to me. Then we went to SS and we were lone so we were just talking….

So so you think he likes me? Also, how could I ask him to go to the Warped Tour with me and some of my friends?

Parents, has this ever occurred to you?

Last fall, I read an article about mold on car floor mats, which forms due to snow and slush, It said that when you turn the heater on, it blows mold spores all over the car. If you have the heat directed toward the floor, the spores are directed under the seat and into the faces of children in the back seat. I now clean or replace them more often. Something to think about?
emmy, if you or your children are allergic to mold, believe me, it would be a concern because the person would be sick.

How much do you think i would get if i sold my 1961 baby blue VW Bug? it has brand new leather seats (original seat frame) new tires, hubcaps, window seals, new carborator, heater works, new carpet, no scratches on the paint job (paint job is original, minor touch ups were made though) i constantly get stopped at a stop light, or while im pumping gas asking how much im selling it for? or how great of shape that its in. I am 17 years old and im just courious. thank you

help getting ford ac fitting apart?

i’m in the middle of a major project~ replacing the heater core in my 1988 mercury sable. YIKES, it’s waaayy more complicated than it should be. ok, i removed the front seat & even managed to remove the entire instrument panel ( i would call it the dashboard). i have the new core. i have the upper evaporator fitting (from accumulator) removed, which took a lot of tugging…now i can’t seem to get the lower evaporator fitting apart. of course, it’s in an area where i can’t grab it very well, but i’ve been using wood blocks and other longer pieces to get leverage and pry against the bend , but just can’t get it apart. i have soaked it several times with liquid wrench. the coupling disconnector is engaging the spring. i really need to finish this so i can get the car back together before christmas day~! HELP~
