Die hard antique VW Beetle lovers only!?
How much do you think i would get if i sold my 1961 baby blue VW Bug? it has brand new leather seats (original seat frame) new tires, hubcaps, window seals, new carborator, heater works, new carpet, no scratches on the paint job (paint job is original, minor touch ups were made though) i constantly get stopped at a stop light, or while im pumping gas asking how much im selling it for? or how great of shape that its in. I am 17 years old and im just courious. thank you

I’d guess like 4-7000 dollars if Ebay right now is a good guide. The original paint makes it hard to guess, though. (If it looks its age, that could scare off some buyers, but the rarity of it could attract others.) More if it’s a convertible.

If you are only 17, don’t sell it — you’ll only regret it in the future. Such a car is typically a family heirloom, and you would be wise to keep it in the family, unless you are in dire need of money (ie, medical emergancy, something like that).
No amount of money can really make up for the loss of the car if it is a family heirloom … keep it, and find some other means of acquiring a few thousand dollars.
But in such condition, you could likely get $5,000 – $10,000 depending on the niche markets.

in California that car will bring $3,000-$5,000
we have had quite a few 50′s and 60′s bugs around my family circle

Next time someone asks you that just say, "what would you pay for it."

Some place in the 2-8 thousand range if its just a regular hard top 8-15 thousand if its a convertible 3-10 if its a slide top. While these cars are indeed worth something only the very best, and harder to find models, bring big money.

to a collector ==maybe $20,000 or more
