Did I get a good deal on this Corolla? I paid $4600 at a used car dealership.?
Recently bought a 1998 Corolla LE.
-101K miles.
-Carfax showed clean records, reg maintenance and lubing.
1. Power steering, power windows, power mirrors, power doors.
2. New tires, new brakes, outside paint still glossy
3. Cruise control
4. A/c, FM/CD player
5. body colored bumpers, mirrors, door handles, Cloth seat cover
6. dual front side airbags.
I have driven it around 1500 miles already and it’s been nothing but a pleasure. Just fuel ups. It gave 36 to 37 mpg on a recent 400 mile journey. I serviced it at a Toyota dealership and they had a comment of surprise that this was a very well maintainted car – gave clean bill of health.
So is the price still ok?

So so.
It depends on what condition it was in, whether that was your total cost including Tax Title and License, and where you live and what the market is like there.

You didn’t get ripped off bad enough to lose sleep over it, at the very least.

4600 seems just a little steep for 101 k. But I can say Toyotas do last a long time.

I think you paid to much for it. The car is ten years old. too many miles on it. It should of been $3000

at this point if you’ve driven the car 1500 miles and love the way it drives and mechanics told you its in great shape, what does it matter what you paid. $4,600 is a little high, but if you have a great car and you have a peace of mind with it, it doesn’t matter what you paid.
think of it this way, what if you paid 3000.00 for a similar car ,but in those 1500 miles, you’ve already had a ton of problems with it and brought it back three times to try to get things fixed?
used cars don’t have a set value it all depends on how they were maintained, cared for, any previous accidents, etc.
