so i got a new car today & want to give her a ‘fitting’ name.She’s a 98 Saturn SL1.A little about myself is im 19yrs old,fav color pink,a princess,cosmetologist,and love to have fun.I bought her some seat covers,cd holder and steering wheel cover that is black with a pink butterfly and tribe symbol on it.please help me find the perfect car name :/

I bought a car from a small car lot back in October (first mistake). It is a 2002 Saturn and from looking and driving it, it appeared to be in decent condition for a 2002. It ran smooth and almost everything seemed to be working. We asked for a carfax report from the dealership but he didn’t give us one saying the car came in and was in good condition. We were in a serious pinch so we decided to just go for it.
Upon getting the car home, we discovered that not only did the dash lights not work, but the odometer doesn’t add miles. So the car has been sitting at 59,200 miles since we bought it because we can’t figure out which fuse is missing – if that is actually whats wrong with it. Upon further inspection we found shards of glass under the seats and when we took it on the highway it rattles like crazy. We didnt think too much of it assuming that it was in an accident and the insurance company would have had it fixed and road safe.
Now, 6 months later, we have MANY more problems with this car. It is leaking oil (can’t figure out exactly from where), it is leaking anti freeze (also can’t pin point the leak), it is leaking power steering fluid because the pump may be bad, I can’t put windshield washer fluid in it because after a few minutes its all over the garage floor. In the last few weeks the car has developed a ticking noise when in reverse and/or idoling that seems to get worse and worse each day. I’ve been told this is a lifter and it would mean the transmission is going bad and it wouldn’t be worth the cost of fixing it. All the repairs right now, add up to more than the 00 we paid for the car 6 months ago.
I know my mistakes in this situation – no carfax report, buying from a small lot, not having a mechanic look at the engine right away etc etc. But I am young and am definitely learning the hard way.
I researched the lemon law here in MN and have discovered that it only covers cars under a warranty… So, I’m wondering if there is anything I can do or if I am SOL. We basically paid cash for the car so there is no loan or anything on it.
Does anybody have any experience with this type of situation? What do you think I should do if anything?

Are the driver’s and passenger seat in a 1994 Saturn SL2 interchangeable? My driver’s seat is torn to shreds, witht the metal frame no longer covered by the padding, but my passenger seat is still in really good condition. I doubt I will ever need to carry passengers, as this is my backup car for when weather is bad, so I don’t want to buy a complete new seat for a car I might only use maybe only 20 times a year.

I have an old car that my Father is letting my have and I’m trying to figure out how to make it look better. It’s a 95′ green Saturn, with greyish carpet interior. Well actually it was my great grandmother’s (oh joy.) I’m just happy I have a car.

Any ideas of how to make it look nicer. Would seat covers help? What about car wax?

Hi! I have a white Saturn Ion with gray interior and black seat covers. I live in TN and the legal limit for tint is 35%. I’d like to go darker. Should I go with 20% or 30%? Is 30% dark enough? (My car doesn’t draw attention from cops usually). Thanks!

We have a small(er) car (Toyota Matrix) that we need to purchase a convertible car seat for. Our other car sear is an Evenflo and fits great in our van, but I doubt the same kind would fit in the Matrix. Anyone have any recommedations for car seats for smaller cars?
eml – We love our Matrix. It’s a great size and the hatchback makes it easy to fit tons of stuff in. We have the 4WD model which is great in weather.

Hello eveyone! I’m just wondering if anybody can help me out. I am currently 5 months pregnant and I’m expecting my baby in July. I have a 1997 Jeep TJ and was wondering if anyone knows it is a safe vehicle to drive with a small rear facing infant car seat? The reason I ask is that the back seat of a Jeep Wrangler is a little more narrow then that of a car, also the back seats sit so high up that there is no metal protecting the baby since the window starts right about where the seat is… Anyways if someone knows anything about this or knows where I could find the info I would really appreciate it. I’m looking for seat covers for my car and it’s nearly impossible. I have a 1999 Convertible Sebring Jxi. The two front seats are kind of bucket-style but have the seatbelt attached at the right hand corner. I really need seats but none of them seem to come with the opening for the seat belt.. What is that called? How do I search for them?

I just had my third baby boy and need to purchase a new car seat. I think I want to get the Britax from target because of the side impact feature. I’m just wondering how other parents feel about it.

We’re about to have our first child. We don’t have a car but we live in a city and will need to travel by taxi once in a while. This means we need to get a car seat for the baby. We would prefer a seat that is strapped in the car just using the seat belt – don’t want one that needs a base as we’ll only have to store the base in our apartment. Can anyone recommend a car seat like this? It would also be good if the car seat could be used in a stroller frame as our ‘everyday’ stroller. Any advise would be much appreciated.
