It can be expensive to remove leather and install cloth. I would say it costs around $600 or more. Labor is the expensive part. I know that when you want to remove cloth and install leather is around $1200.
You should call the Toyota dealership and speak to their service dept.....ask them if they can refer or recommend someone. Car dealership usually have a couple companies do their after market installations and can get a cheaper price.

Ask around or look in the yellow pages for an auto restoration shop. They can help you determine if it is worth it. I know it can be done but it may be $1000 or so. Have you thought about covering the leather with sheepskin seat covers? Very comfy, warm and much less expensive than converting to cloth.

If Avalons came with cloth seats , you could try to locate an owner to swap interiors . Try an Avalon / Toyota enthusiast website ..etc . Most people see leather as an upgrade and would more than willing swap with you + maybe pay some .

leather is very soft but hot in the summer an cold in the winter most people who go to get leather repaired will go with cloth because of price So do what some of my costumers did have cloth seat covers made and or go to wal mart an get a set of seat covers for under a hundred bucks than when u trade it in you can get a higher trade because it has leather seats
