Baby mirror for backseat of my car?
I am having trouble finding a mirror that will stay put in the backseat of my car so I can see my baby in her rear facing car seat.
I bought one but it has a strap that is supposed to keep it up-right, the problem is this strap is supposed to connect to something on the rear deck (under the rear window)and I don’t have anythig for it to connect to.
I have tried velcro hooks, but they don’t stay put because the rear deck is covered with carpet.
The car is a 1991 Toyota Corolla.
If anyone has had this same problem or has a suggestion it would be very much appreciated
the car has no headrests

You can buy a mini camera that attaches to your rear licence plate so you can see backing up…..So I guess the same camera could be mounted in the back seat facing the baby so you can see the screen in the front of the dashboard.
As the camera doesn’t have to be seen directly by you , as the mirror would, you have options on instalation point.

To be perfectly honest, you really don’t need to have a baby mirror attached to your seat. I know it’s hard and you feel like you have to have your eye on them every second. As you said yourself, they don’t always stay put and if you are in a crash they can fly right off of those head rests and what do you think they will hit? Your baby.
Trust me when I say your baby is fine when he/she is in the car seat as long as it is properly installed, he/she is sitting and strapped in the seat properly, and you don’t have anything in your baby’s face. If you get worried about your baby while you are in the car then pull over and check on him or her. I’m sorry if this isn’t the answer you are looking for, but I was a trained car seat technician and that is what they told us during our training.

If you have back seats with headrests, this one works pretty well, and attaches to the headrests:

Good luck!
Ahh, no headrests? This one might work instead then:

The one I have has a suction cup on it that sucks to the back window, and points towards my baby, and then I look into my mirros up front and see her. I got it at walmart and it was only like $5. Super cheap and it works great. I hope that this helps.

My sister-in-law had the same problem and she used a safety pin to attach the mirror to the back seat. Good luck!
