1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Leak under passenger seat?
Water was standing under the passenger seat. I completely dried off the water under the passenger seat, but the next day, the carpet directly under the front passenger seat (BETWEEN the TWO SEAT RAILS) got wet again and is slowly getting more wet. It is NOT the heater core and it is NOT the coolant. This happened after my front fender bender fell off in a crash. Is there any water/chemical/etc pipes running under the front passenger seat that could have been punctured? thx.

Take it to a mechanic. It could be serious.

there is a hose that drains water from the a/c heater box. that hose is probably plugged. it sticks out from the firewall under the heater hoses into the engine compartment.

if you have A/C it sounds like your drain valve for your condensation build up.

i think the ac is freezing up somewhere and the water is collecting under the seat. look for a expansion valve. they are usually cause water leeks inside of your vehicle good luck

there are two possibilities. One has already been mentioned. The drain for your a/c system is clogged. look under the car with the a/c on, if you don’t see water dripping out after a couple of minutes running with the a/c on then you’ve got a clogged drain. look for a little rubber hose sticking out of the firewall on the passenger side of the car. stick a small wire or screwdriver into the hose to unclog it. The other option is that the drains for your sunroof are clogged or blocked due to your fender bender. the drains run out behind the front wheels. if one was clogged then the water would fill up in the body panel and could run over into the floor of the vehicle. This is also a somewhat common problem with these Jeeps
